Well - if you want to sell your old amber lens, I need a driver's side one (Australian driver's side, that is). If so, let me know your price. [as a follow up]We might have some differences in the US and Aus models - on my 1984 GTV the indicator lenses have a curve matching the bumper but in the oth...

... and no, they are not normally keyed differently for the driver and passenger door! Someone must have replaced one of your exterior handles.

Thanks - I thought the idea was to mist in distilled water ... do you mean I should POUR it in the carbs?

Upper cylinder cleaner? Or water mist in the carbs?

Hi guys, I'm getting a bit of plug fouling in the twin-carb, not as bad as before, but enough to make me think it's probably built up on valve seats as well. I know coke can be burnt off by misting water into the throttle bodies while revving a hot engine. My cousin, who's a mechanic, recommended I ...

Fantastic advice thanks guys. The TS project is on hold for financial reasons at the moment, also because the twin-carb is behaving itself much better these days. But I will keep my eyes open for a suitable donor car.

How about a TS?

Hey Patzo, have you ever done a twin-spark drop-in for a GTV 2.0? I'm hoping to do it to my 1984 model sometime.

Oh dear, not a promising answer. I guess I'll hold off for as long as I can, and try to pick up something cheap, then get the work done in stages ... I had thought it would be a matter of disconnecting electrics, fuel, cooling from the Nord engine, undoing the mounts and the driveshaft coupling, lif...

Drop-in twin spark for a 116 GTV

OK, I am running out of patience with endless engine issues on my GTV 2.0. Reading the board here, it seems like the 8V twin spark from an Alfa 75 is a straight drop-in for my 2 litre GTV (1984, 116 series). (a) is that correct - do the flywheel, bell housing and mounts mate up correctly? (b) what e...
Another aussie for the board. Your GTV looks very nice!
Thanks Bernard. I think you'll remember me, I'm the guy who kept trying to buy your Greg Gordon Alfa 75 air pipes and your Momo wheel for cheap! The GTV isn't *quite* as nice as that photo makes it look, but ...

One minor problem, I'm not Matthew Keating!

It's Kirkcaldie actually. Sorry for the mistaken identity!

Anyway, I'm in Sydney, I've owned a twin-carb 33, a Sprint and currently own an '87 Alfa 75 (V6, 2.5) and an '84 GTV (twin carb 2.0).

Love them all but the GTV most of all.
