Jim can you tell us the rod length to stroke ratio?
And do you reckon it would be feasable to have an even longer stroke (custom made obviously) crank in the block? Maybe with smaller diameter big ends to find the needed room.

Nice, are you gonna test both? As a daily, your most likely gonna do the long runners right? My bet is the shorties for peak power. Prolly not practicle to have a dual length runner manifold on a V6 (especially 1 shoe-horned into an Alfa engine bay), but how about a dual resonance manifold like the...

Silly question time........................ :wall: While I love Kevin's approach to the tailshaft saga, what is stopping someone from making their own rubber couplings of a more durable design and perhaps with some internal Kevlar reinforcement? There's nome nice work there! A couple of curiosities tho. Like the fact that 105 uprights are used, with 'upside down' lover ball joints (spherical rod ends), but no apparent bump steer correction. Also, the steering arms are standard (LONG) length.............. I'm surprised that they didn't duct ...

I've used Neway seat cutters on my 12 heads. They work very well, but frieght costs to Aus were a killa. Hopefully cheaper to other non-US parts of the world.

Z, there are specific velocity probes so no problem. The question is what combination of velocity/flow you want! If you increase flow with porting it does not necessarily mean you also increase velocity. It may remain unchanged or even drop if you hog out the ports. To arrive at conclusive results ...

Yeah, the load cell equipped tailshaft is probably the best, but the pure cost of them.................... :shock: Motec supply them for the V8 Supercars to help keep the parity of all of the different engines.
