Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine

Z , send the cams to me . Still prefer my 3.7 to the 4c :D Jim that set up will fit nicely into a 75 but it will catch the bonnet if it was in the GTV . I had to trim mine down . Still pity I never did a comparative dyno run then with same motor and the two plenum set ups . What's the length of the ...

Re: Clutch issues 1986 GTV6

The clutch slave cylinders you buy for the GTV here in uk are same as the 105 series which is a major problem as the pin is way to long . This has caught some people out who have never done this and just thrown the old slave out . So you need to check your pin on new slave is same as original one th...

Re: Clutch issues 1986 GTV6

Does it feel like their is normal hydraulic clutch feel but clutch not functioning . If so then plates are stuck from standing or sometimes from high moisture in air and rapid cooling on unit . The plates bind . Easiest way to release is push start car in gear then push in clutch and let car shudder...

Re: Steve's 3.0 24v supercharged GTV

Hi Steve , exhaust looks good . Did you flatten the section to get the oval looking pipe or did you buy it like that . I have seen squashed pipe here at Autosport but it costs a fortune . You mentioned coil overs on the konis - any pics of that . I will drop a pm as I need to get a spigot with brass...

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine

Jim you actually don't need any supports for the plennum as the six rubbers hold it in position really tightly ( if that's a word) and when you add the intake pipe it will be supported on a rubber bracket so it all works well a a unit . I preferred bringing cable from underside using the 164 bracket...

Re: Broken (snapped) door handle

You can take the handle to pieces but the problem is the barrel is pressed with two pins sticking through another plastic section . I have often glued these back when someone has forced the key in the barrel but not always successfully. I will take some pics of a handle I have in pieces . If you hav...

Even better to see this car in the metal . It really does sound the business . Do you have any pics of your flywheel set up as I think you mentioned you used the 164 type ?

Re: GTV 's at Alex Jupes 2014 and 2015 Open Day

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine

Cutting aluminium plenums with grinder is scary stuff as they disc clog up to quickly and can shatter so you gotta be extra careful . Some plenums I cut the coil pack cover part off as it made it easier to weld the new triangular chamber on . If you leave bottom section on it then weld the bottom pl...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK

AutoItalia are ever enthusiastically putting together some good features . Just this week I went on a car shoot the Wards( Mike and Phil) at a local test facility in Surrey with some other rare homologated Alfas . Actually three of the six cars come from a certain member on the forum who is pretty n...
