Re: Twin Spark V6?

8v fires at the same time. 16v fires the main plug as usual and the small one 180 crank degrees later. Wiring scheme says: http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/8765/tsexplainedaw3.jpg If you check under coil cover you will find (in early 16v engines) wiring like you see on second example. If you want...

Re: Twin Spark V6?

Twin spark engines had some sense in their early phase (8v engines) since second spark was 10 degree later than first (if I remember). 16v Twin Spark fires both spark plugs and gap between those two sparks will depend from dirt (!) - since dirt raises resistance of spark plug. :|

Re: Helloo from Serbia! (My 24v conversion)

It was a bargain - around 300 euro. :D
What I received for that money;
-Headers
-One flex pipe
-Pipe straight to rear muffler
-Intake runners

Good thing was that I had collectors (3 into 1) and joints already made so overall price was really good. ;)

Re: Key code security on 24v - solutions?

Stephan answered and gave me a link for http://www.schepers-autotechniek.com :D
Meanwhile, I found missing connector and I'll try first with immobilizer connected!

Giulie,
thank You man!

P.S. As soon as we connect everything, I'll post results.

Maybe this topic could be splited into two usefull topics instead of one confusing? I4 discussion could really open some new horizons. :)

Re: Key code security on 24v - solutions?

Thank you for suggestion, but I already have a map which is rated for 230 HP and due low octane fuel in our country, it is pointless to buy new chip... :(

Can someone take and post a picture of wires connected to imobilizer's pins? :|

Any way, squadra is last option...

Key code security on 24v - solutions?

Hello everybody! Since my project is forwarding, next thing to do soon will be wiring. I have original set of code key + antenna + small yellow box + ECU (mine is ALFA 164 3000 V6 24V 231CV BOSCH M1.7 832-8.709), but I would like to avoid packing all those things together. I'm missing one connector ...

Re: Boost!

I'd like to point out that 11.6 psi and a 9.5:1 (static) compresson ratio in a 12 valve motor, is less likely to cause detonation/pinging issues than 11.6 psi and a 9.5:1 (static) compression ratio on a 24 valve engine. Even with the (probably) better combustion chamber deign of the 24v being taken...

Re: Custom exhaust - exhaust note question

Hey, This is how mine sounds like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmhxRshe3rY&feature=related I read some of these threads beforehand and decided on this setup. :D Its a stock 2.5. Got the whole system redone after the manifolds. Pipes from the manifold collect into a hot dog in the middle and ...
