Does anyone know if water leaking into the engine and white smoke comming out of the exhaust will affect the California smog test? It previously passed fine. This is in a 4 cl. Spica 116 car. I need a smog in the next few weeks, but won't have a chance to get to any kind of repair. Cracked head is w...

Correct color wire source
With regard to rewiring, does anyone know where to get the colored wire with the black stripe on it that Alfa uses? I want to rewire a length of one section of the harness and I want to keep the wires in the exact color. Finding colored wire is easy, but the ones lableled BN, VN, RN, etc, N being th...

I have a crack in the #3 exhaust port of my Nord head. I have water seeping out of the copper exhaust gasket on top and air bubbles pulsing in my water overflow bottle. I plan to remove the head and see how bad it is. I'd like to hear what you've done so far and how it worked. I put in a bottle of r...

I spoke with Paul Spruell today. His piston when used with TS75 rods yields a CR of 10.1. They can be used with Nord rods and give a CR of 11.1. They are, however, 85mm dia. He can have them made in 84mm, but they cost more. For the 85mm ones, he has the liners to go with them. They are stronger tha...

Jim, thanks for clearing up the water return problem on the GTVs. It doesn't seem to be a problem in Alfettas then. That picture of drilled water jackets, although beautifully done, seems excessive if I have enough space back there. How about the piston/rod issue? What about keeping the Nord pistons...

I've read this whole thread with great interest. The idea of the 155TS engine on a Nord block intrigues me greatly. I haven't been able to determine from the discussion of the water return problem, if it is just due to the space at the back of the head to the firewall in older GTVs. I'm thinking abo...
