Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Silverstone classic was really good this year . Must go both days as they have some good 80s bands playing on Saturday night and it's a real party . I stayed at a b&b which was really comfy next to the track for £50 a night . Usually my mate runs one of her GTV's that race so their is always an ...

Re: Need s some advice on an Alfetta GTV 3.2 V6 24v conversi

Yes , about 7degrees , so it bell housing bush and centre bearing offset . Old theory is as car accelerates it twist the engine into a straighter position . All about comfort . On my race car I made own engine mounts and aligned whole drivetrain up BUT I made an engine brace to stop any movement of ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Auto Italia Motorsport day was once again good fun . Thought I was gonna be the only GTV in the paddock and to my surprise there were two others aleady parked up when I got there . Richard Melvin was in his original Alfa Dealer Team Napolina2.0 GTV and alongside was Snowdon with the ex French GTV 2....

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Coming up next weekend is Auto Italia Autumn Motorsport day . Basically "show and tell " day but at least my car will be in the Italian race car line up and I can do a few laps around the Mercedes Benz test track that will be open to the competition cars . Looking forward to so already pac...

Re: Helloo from Serbia! (My 24v conversion)

Hi , it's a shame all your images have gone as was just going back through topic and looking for your suspension pics . Can you post some more of roll cage . I'm interested to see how far back you have the main roll hoop , ie how far is it from the chassis crossmember over the tunnel . I guess it al...

It's RWD as you can see engine has been turned around . I think it's using a Jerico box but I will ask him for some pics .

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

This particular road on normal days is not a one way and has a speed limit of 60mph . Thats what it is on most of these country lanes where you have to stop and pull in to let some past . There are two absolutely blind corners on this particular stretch your main concern on normal days is not other ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Had a bit of fun with the track car in a hill climb event in a small village not to far from me called Shere . Its a very pretty place if visiting with an excellent coffee shop . Most of the buildings date from 1450 to 1550 . They make the tower of Pizza look plumb ! It's not a timed event but you c...

Re: transaxle upgrade's

That's an excellent solution . Pinion float from tiny deflection was always th killer under serious abuse on the track . Twin plate unsprung GTV clutch with 0.9mm skimmed off each side of intermediate plate worked well with 350 hp . Lighter than single plate and handle more torque . Clutch bracing -...

Re: How high should I rev my new 3.0?

I never had issues to touch 7k on the track in the 3.0 12v but if you gonna do it constantly on the road and want longevity , synchro to stay good and with those cams probably safe to stay at 6.5 k ( conservative side ) Did you put new rod bolts in as old one don't like it above 7k or nearly 8k :sho...

We've been waiting a while for Franco to complete this car . It's first competitive outing in the South African exotic super car series is this weekend . Most cars in this series start at 700hp up 1000hp . Some pics of this longitudinal mount 24v 3.7 twin turbo . Link to the event http://www.motorsp...
