Barry: As the setup is now the bolts go through the leg and are attatched by nuts on the inside. Your suggestion is to also add a backup plate on the the inside with the nuts to strenghten the leg?

Maurizio: Why would you not trust aluminium? Your wheels are aluminium, so are many suspension details for newer cars as lower/upper a-arms :) If i am thinking right here i asume the biggest load at the aluminiumbar will be at the outer wheel when cornering, then the forces will push the aluminium a...

X-rad: The Rs- kit for the V6 does not get rid of the understeer, as it does with the 4 syl. Throw away the t-bars and you have a much better point to start....

barry: Thought of making them in mild steel.Work in a maskinshop so I am aware of the possibility of alu cracking, but as these are quite thick massive bars (25MM) I decided to go for alu. Bolts used are M12*90 10.9 quality.

There are not many companies making bolt on coilover conversions for the 116series. The way to go is to order a spesified coilover that fit your "needs". All of the well known suspension companies can deliver spesified damper/springs. I know Leda suspesion made a kit som years ago, or you ...

The front swaybar from RS-racing is very heavy, so the holes are for lightening.
