Yeah, I just re-read my post and figured it's probably only relevant for the quad cam engines.
Zamani,
Did you have any problems with idle using the C&B cams and did the autronic allow you to achieve a relatively smooth idle?

Coolant

Does anyone know whether the V6 alfa engine's cooling system has magnesium in it? I am using Redline Water Wetter coolant and it's terrific but it says in the technical brochure that it would not protect the engine with magnesium in it. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Climate here in Perth is almo...

If going for a aftermarket programmable ECU, would adjustable cam sprockets be necessary? I haven't seen/read anyone using them and if there are some available, where can I get them? Thanks for any info

Does anyone know how to identify SZ cams and would they be similiar to 164Q cams. Would greatly appreciate anyone that knows the cam profile of the SZ and if there are any identifications marks to tell them apart from 164 S cams or normal cams?

That's without valves or cams!! The other option is to find a good 3.0L motor. Hope someone in Oz can steer me i...

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with black staining around the water jackets of their engine blocks (After removing the heads)? Mine has them and it's possible to lightly scratch the surface with a small pick whereas it's much harder scratching on the shiny alloy areas. The surf...

Thanks for any info.

Thanks Jim,

Managed to get hold of Ron. Like I said, he's normally very prompt with emails but he said he was away from the office for two weeks at the Nurburgring and Spa.
Cheers,

Has anyone been able to contact Ron Simons recently? Normally he replies to emails very quickly but I have not heard from him after a few emails. Anyone know how to contact him?

Michael, I had a somewhat similiar problem when I installed mine but I thought my rubber bumpstop wasn't as thick as yours? Mine looked like it only had that bottom bit and Ron reckons if you have about 1-2cm it may be ok. BTW, have you had trouble contacting Ron? I haven't been able to get hold of ...
