Re: Hello from relocation to UK
Took the Giulietta out for some sightseeing or lack of it in the heavy fog this morning . Good thing that Alfa for some strange reason made the 2016 facelift Giulietta a full inch higher than the previous model as the gravel roads up to the Grange country house in Northington suited a 4x4 .

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine
Yep had that a few times . So can occur if you park on a gentle slope and you turn off car without immediately using your handbrake to take up slack on belt . Then when you start it it jumps tooth . Or when working on car under side fiddling with prop and you turn prop wrong way . If you set tension...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK
The trip to the dealership was not all in vain as we picked up our new daily commute - the Giulietta . Very happy with it as it now the third I have owned and each time alfa keeps refining the areas which you want to complain about . Still I would like space for left foot rest next to clutch pedal e...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK
So I was at HWM today trying to figure out how to put the Giulia engine in the GTV . Damn what a glorious sound it makes when you blip it in race mode . After having a thorough inspection even on tyres I noticed how soft and sticky the compound is . It's tread wear rating is only 60 ! My semi slicks...

Re: Front - Rear track width and transition while cornering.
Good point written above on back being to over sprung compared to front if you only had 80kg/cm on front plus torsion bars which is from previous discussion is about 130kg/cm total front . Ron used to start with 50kg/cm rear plus 115kg/cm front coil over plus torsion bars ( 165kg/cm total ) . This w...

Re: Front - Rear track width and transition while cornering.
Also if you have gone harder on front springs and depending on your front tyre temps taken immediately as you come into the pits on the outer edge , middle and inside of tyre you could possibly bring in camber to 2degrees which will help more in braking . This is the data you need to get and not to ...

Re: Front - Rear track width and transition while cornering.
Well theoretically you have just made car higher in front by going harder springs . Another thing you can do is introduce rear anti roll bar gap which means you slacken off the drop links on the rear anti roll bar . This small gap will let the rear roll more on corner exit as you put down power and ...

Re: Front - Rear track width and transition while cornering.
Hi , to start off I would either raise the front ride height or lower the rear ride height . This will transfer more weight to rear but induce more under steer . Reason I would play with ride heights is you got all the kit the does make a really good handling 75 . I spent a morning watching Ron sett...

Welcome . I also remember that plate . I'm sure I used to see it at Alfa Service Centre in Bedfordview . Are you stripping the beading at the bottom of the off . You have to remove glass to do it but I would do it personally and photograph it . Don't leave it to the unskilled as clips will get broke...

Yes , drop me pm . Also you would need alt bracket and trigger wheel plus bracket .
Edit : probably easier if I show you how to cut and weld sump up as posting this from UK to Oz will cost atleast £200 . Can send you the small stuff .
