Re: New book?

Hi guys, Still working on details like preferred format. A4 is out of the question, B5 is not looking good, but 8x10" seems to be the one, in which case we're looking at ~250 pages of perversion, about 45-50% of which is 24v stuff. Got an appointment with a book print rep tomorrow, we'll see. H...

Re: New book?

Just trying to decide on size format now, between A4 and B5. The latter looks more probable, comes out to 261 pages. I'll make sure it's NOT soft quality, so the slithering Aussie weasel will have a hard time....

New book?

This is a vary good Saturday! Just finished composing the cover pic and got the first spiral-bound 3 working copies. I'm probably not impartial, but it looks good! Should be available in a few months. Some stats: A4 size, 290 pages, 268 pics. I'll let you know when it's ready.

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Why is it so difficult to make two such spacers on the lathe and then place on a divider head for the holes? I imagine there are plenty of good machine shops in Oz as well as suitable iron bar chunks. As for the bolts, look in most hardware catalogs. They are not the cheapest due to size and pitch b...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

What a nice title... 'Final resting project'! Still polluting the site with dumb projects you will never finish at your age and condition... I have tried to tell you its no use! Besides the fact that when you 'race' you're the only driver with a calendar instead of a lap timer, you should forget abo...

Re: Larger oil cooler

If you restrict oil flow (tight clearance) oil spends more time in contact with hot surfaces, it therefore heats up more. Loose clearance allows faster oil flow and the heat is transferred away with a larger oil volume . Which brings us to another related discussion: what do you prefer, higher oil p...

Re: 75 Twin Spark Engine Head Removal Tool

If you weren't such a cheap-ass, you'd find a DECENT used TS engine to buy, instead of the crapola you got! Then, you wouldn't need them medieval bullshit puller tools!  :| :wall:

I didn't hear anyone ask about bearing clearances. Its the biggest factor in oil heating.

I have to thank you for the nice words... I sure get a chuckle thinking of you wanting to be an 'organ donor' when you finally croak (hallelujah, praise the Lord!). Which part of you exactly are you going to donate, HAHAHAHAH! The ones above the waist are all suitable for low-grade fertilizer and th...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Thought I'd drop by here and see how you bunch of relic-hunters and gravediggers are doing. Sad to see a certain Ozzie varmint is still polluting this world's atmosphere. Of all the poisonous animals in Oz, and none dares to get too close to him....phew man, get a f. bath!  Seeing how ...
