hi all the engine is sat nicely in the car
Just a quick question
Ive heard because gtv rear bell housing mounting points on the transmission tunnel are slightly different to the gtv6 I need some spacers before I bolt them up
Does anyone know the thickness of these

good work there mate
next dilemma is the fuel injection wiring
Ive got the wiring with the ecu but how to splice it in is going to be a head scratcher

In late 1984 in South Africa there were quite a few GTV 2.0 that were actually made from excess GTV 6 shells . So battery was in boot and tank behind rear seats , the hubs were five bolt pattern however the torsion bars and callipers were same as 2.0 . Estimate about fifty of these cars were made ....

Neatly welding in engine mounts and chassis number is not easy. But makes more sense to me as neatly welding in a complete rear trunk floor... Never seen or heard of a 2.0 with v6 tank and battery placement from the factory. But hey,they 're italians sorry anything is possible i guess. :wink: after...

With that tank and battery placement it should be a v6.
I agree but it has 2.0 front mountings
no signs of a cut and shut either (an English term for a written off car with bits from different cars)

What do you guys think of this I posted it on alfa bb and on here a while back and I find it strange that even though it is a 2.0l it has lots in common with the gtv6 I have had six gtv6 over the last 25 years and although im not a mechanic worked on all them including engine swaps prop re builds ge...

I have just had some plates welded to my car this weekend and dropped the engine in yesterday
first pic shows how the existing 4cyl mount differs from the v6
the second shows the plate
