JJ Okay... see where you coming from! Over here, we're looking at 420 bhp @8000+ Still pretty good idle 1100 rpm. I think with your cam's and rev limit, you max power will be be nearer 315/320 bhp with the mild cams, but still plenty - may be proved wrong, so if it makes 350.....enjoy. I'm st...

Mats There's no way to stop the studs turning if you use the standard set-up, the standard gtv6 disc has a machined groove for the studs to sit in, the studs also have a flat edge which locks up against this groove to prevent them spinning - gta disc is missing the groove! Also standard studs are to...

Hi Barry

Looks great...... do you put a 8 or 9mm spacer on on the front of the disc - between the disc and hub - to bring the offset back to standard?? As the gta disc's are shallower then original?

JJ With all respect..... I don't think you'll get more 'track proven' than Rons cars at the 'ring.......I mean 2 years of track driving at the most demanding circuit in the world!?!?! who are you kidding?? yourself?? Have you driven his cars?? The markings on the springs are a unique code, and relat...

JJ Ok..... So you have a fast road engine, not full race. I know about the head limits, but was just unsure what you went with. The 2.5 heads will still flow enough for 300hp with larger BMW valves, just not so good on a 3.7. You can also reach 340 easily on a 3.5 engine. If you had gone for solid l...

JJ

Have you got 'solid' cam followers in your engine or the hydraulic one's??

Also, did you have an option on CR 10.8?? or decide after driving a similar engine?

Did you go for a 'race' spec 46mm exhaust manifold, or a standard road fitment?

Has your engine got a 2.5 or 3.0 head?

Cheers

Barry - nice one mate  It's nice to see the kits actually fitted on the cars! Wait 'till some of the guys here see what you've done :D I really like the fact you've used factory 305 and 310 mm "BREMBO" discs, the Brembo castings are the highest quality casting around, and have high c...

Rons kit uses GAS charged dampers JJ. As you have a kit, you'll notice the piston rods expand after being compressed. All Alfa dampers have oil in them, gas is used to stop cavitation on some types. I believe Ron uses Intrax dampers, and the kit developed by Barry and Dawie uses KW. Cheers Andrew
