OK, you got me on that one. I guess whenever I looked, it was 37psi. I never did the blip the throttle test though.

Can I interpret your response to mean the phenomena that I'm seeing is normal?

Thanks,
Bill in Maryland.

Fuel pressure fluctuates

Hey everyone, I need a little help on what looks to be a fuel pressure problem. I have Megasquirt, but I'm thinking this is either a fuel pump or pressure regulator issue. I have a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line before the fuel flows to the fuel rail. I seem to recall it's always read around 3...

Were you looking for an msq file?

Good luck.

I happened to see this thread yesterday when I was having trouble bleeding my clutch. I was using a pressure bleeder, with the bleed screw at the 12 o'clock position, and the clutch pedal still wasn't right. So I tried something different. I pushed the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and held ...

Throttle plate at WOT?

Hey everyone, I just got the feeling that I wasn't getting everything from my 3.0 when I press the pedal to the floor. So I checked out the throttle plate with the gas pedal all the way down - the throttle only comes two-thirds of the way down from the top (from the side this would look like 10:30 o...

Received a prototype front brake kit from WHOA

Hey Everyone, as a follow-up to my earlier post, Jim at Whoa Brakes (www.whoabrakes.com) is thinking about making a front brake upgrade kit for our Alfa V6's. I've volunteered to do some testing for him and check out what arrived at my front door: http://bmacfarl.fastmail.fm/photo%20class/WHOA.jpg J...

Hey that looks pretty cool. What's a surge tank - is this something for turbo applications? Or is it something you have to have when you use individual TB's?

Got any pictures of your TB to head adapters?

Thanks,

Possible front caliper kit - comments?

Hey everyone, I think I may have found somebody who can put together a front brake kit for us - let me know what you think. It's the guy who puts together the Whoa brake upgrade kit for Fiat Spiders (www.whoabrakes.com) - I guess he has kits for MG's as well. A guy in the local Fiat club, Carl Fried...

Greg, you anticipated where I was going with that. On a 3.0 I figured 10 psi would deliver about 300HP (dunno about the torque). 300HP appears to be the breaking point of the transaxle, and unless I plan to glue a big magnet to my rear bumper to pick up all the broken transaxle pieces, I figured I n...

Greg, I looked at a Google-cached version of your old website and have a few questions. - What boost levels are you generating with the MT62 and the MT90? I've got a Milano 3.0 and want a good boost in torque, I just don't want my transaxle to explode. This is a street car with an occasional driving...

Removing Bosch connectors

Does anybody have a good method or know of a tool for properly removing these dang bosch connectors (fuel injectors, cold startup valve, temp sensors, aux valve)? Either they are impossible to remove, or I break the connectors. Somebody has to know how to remove these things properly. Thanks, Bill i...

Hey Zambon and Al, thanks for posting some options for throttle position sensors. I had been pulling my hair out for months trying to find an alternative. Zambon, for those off-the-shelf Bosch TPS's, do they require machine the throttle shaft to be a little shorter? If not, I'll probably go with the...

Hey thanks for those suggestions. I checked out the Innovate Motorsports WB sensor (will check out the other one in a bit). So it looks like you use the analog output of the sensor as an input to MS. Then you just tune like you do for an NB sensor? Thanks for the suggestions - nice to know there are...

Wide Band?

Hey who has installed a wide band O2 sensor for use with Megasquirt? What's the best sensor to buy, and what hardware is required? I assume that WB makes tuning a little more precise?

Thanks for the help,

Throttle Position Sensor?

Hey everyone, this topic came up a while ago, but I'm looking for a few more details. I've heard that the Volvo 850 tps (sensor, not switch) will fit our V6 throttle bodies. Does anybody have a specific part number? I bought what I thought was the Volvo 850 tps, but it turned out to be a switch and ...
