Re: Electric Power Steering on 75 Rack
Hi MD, I’m not to worried about this alternator and high rpm. Times have changed with alternators so pretty confident Abarth got it right when they selected this alternator. I did have issues on the old Alfa alternator with high rpm racing especially cracking to the case ! Let’s see how this goes.

Re: Electric Power Steering on 75 Rack
I had to upgrade my alternator which you can see in this link. The original 55A was not going to cut it hence the easy fitting Amarth 500 120A alternator did the trick.

Electric Power Steering on 75 Rack
Why !! I asked myself this question a few times after completion. There are at least two other alternatives that I think are better which I will mention later. I have used the Citroen C4 pump which I have fitted in the boot connected with two long hydraulic lines to a 75 power steering rack. This GT...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project
Hey MD, I see you still got bugs in your undies. Thought you might have been calling ET on your radios and forgotten about your poor 75. That GTV looks pretty good in that combination of colour coding . Hopefully it will find a good home and we can see progress on the 75. Question : have you seen a ...

I went for Abarth one as lighter . Yes the green wire to original circuit as it’s an exciter for the resistance of the bulb to trigger .

Hi Wolfgang
Hows the project coming along ? I believe you have made some headlight upgrades. I do enjoy this thread as so much info to be gained from your engine mods which is this engine has been used a few times in conversions into the 116 GTV6.

Alternative Alternator Abarth 500, 120Amp for extras
As heading suggests this high powered alternator was necessary as I have now really exceeded the limits of the standard 55Amp . Due to a severe arm injury (in workshop) I have had to fit power steering on the track car which has 225s upfront and heavy castor so steering is a bitch if you got one and...
