Hi MD Firstly a very big thanks for the help :D So far so good, installed recon alternator last night and so far done about 100 k's to day with no problems. Radio plays with no hicups, blower motor has remained constant with air conn on and off. last night while idling charge rate was a constant 13....

Hey MD another question, my blower motor in the car has been irregular lately, by this I mean when driving at a constant speed with air conn on, the blower changes speed by its selve, could this be related to the charging or a separate issue?

Hi MD, thanks for the tip I live inland but has been raining cats and dogs lately. I check the positive where the battery, starter and alternator joins. Cleaned all contacts and even replaced some. I then recheck charge rate and was sitting at 13.8 then dropped down to 5.odd then as the motor droppe...

The last month the battery in my GTV6 2.5 when legs up (started leaking fluid from a sealed unit) which I replaced with a new battery as the factory was closed over December. Then the new battery would not hold the charge, I checked the charging rate which was at 11.9. I then cleaned all the earths ...

Hi Guys, found were the fuel smell was coming from, a few weeks ago I replaced the pipe form the tank to the fuel pump. I never found any fuel leaking from the pipe so I accepted that it was Ok. Hi Kevin
Thanks for the info. One other question my gtv6 smells of petrol have replaced all pipes to and from the tank but itstill has a strong petrol smell. Icant see or feel any petrol aroing the injectors. Any oner places to look.

Fuel pump and filter.

Has anybody swopped the fuel filter and pump around so that it pumps towards the front, and not towards the back of the car. Thus eliminating bending the pipes through 180 deg to reach the pump and when leaving the filter.
