JJ, My honest opinon, for your car 300mm and 4 pot calipers will be plenty. The reason I say that is because since your car isn't going to be a full out race car (but more like a club racer right?) the said setup is more than adequate. Yes 6 pots are better than 4, and 8 are better than 6. Better ye...

Maybe you need bigger headers. Shankle headers have tiny primaries. Like ... less than 1.5" (which is already small!)

Hey Barry, Why leave? Nobody owns the forum (ok Michael does). If you want to sell GoTec for $500, then go ahead and post it here. I know you DON'T want to sell, but I admit, that even I have asked you this question a few times and you said around $500 for Gotec. And I know the only reason why you p...

Andrew,

For the 12V or 24V? If 12V who made them and what were the size of the primaries?

My wilwoods are plenty for my car. Maybe it's light compared to the 147 GTAM. And the wilwoods are small too. I'm sure the APs are way better than my wilwoods though. I guess with my weakling 200 bhp motor, it doesn't need giant calipers and discs. Then again, at the tracks I frequent, I don't reall...

What about building your own headers? Just a simple design with bigger primaries should do the job. I think 1.63" ones should be ok. Barry? :D Oh yeah I have the SZ ones. The welds on them are amazing, must be TIG. And stainless too. Only $500 3 years ago. Too bad the primary pipes are small (1...

IMHO, it was probably the 116/161/33/Alfasud which made Alfa go almost broke. Quality assurance was very poor compared to the (souless) Japanese cars. In any case still love my 75  I'd rather have a 156 GTA as a daily driver, but the 75 is a keeper for sure.

Do you guys really need 60-2? Why not modify the disk in the dissy? Correct me if I am wrong but if you cut 4 teeth off and you will also have 2 triggering events every complete engine cycle. However if you do this, you will not be able to use the stock ignition system again. Maybe buy a spare used ...

I'm using 225/50/16 race tires on my 75. The fender needs to be wokred a little (just the inner lip), the bumper needs to be shifted forward a little and the rear section of the front wheel well needs to be worked on a little. I prefer lighter wheels. On a TV program here they showed results where b...

The only place which sells big bore headers is Beninca Motors. It is very expensive though.

JimK,

What about primary length and collector shape? Which of these factors (primary size, primary length and collector shape) should take precedence? Would a short primary header (42mm, 16" primaries) produce more top end power than something like the CSC?

Thanks,

Zamani

Aerodynamics

OK this topic is seldom discussed. There's a track out here in California which is very fast and it's possible to hit 120-125 on the straights. My 75 has euro bumpers (like the normal 1.8ie) and the bigger skirts. What will a lower lip/splitter or a slightly bigger wing (like the IMSA cars)?

I could not find how the kit looks like? Did you extend the shaft below the shifter's pivot point ? That would shorten the throws.

Lenz,

Your 75 is awesome.

BTW, take lots of pictures and notes of the 155/166 conversion. BTW, will it be a 3.0 or 3.2? I have the same color 155 V6 :-) . I may want to do the same. My 75 only (hopefully) needs a new coat of paint and 17" wheels.
