Greg,
Doesn't the Jetronic system in GTV6s have a wide-open throttle sensor to enrich the charge?
Does your black box replace or supplement that system?

Re: Torsional Rigidity Of Multitudes Of New(er) Cars.
There doesn't seem to be much of a correlation with weight or with handling.
Either the list is inaccurate or chassis rigidity is not as fundamental as generally believed.

Go to this post on the AlfaBB : http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/anything-about-alfa-romeos-alfabb-com/4361-supplier-list.html#post37372 and scroll down to Touch-up Paint and Custom Cans to find vendors who can match the color. Your car's color code should be under the rear hatch on the right side.

Re: Alignment Engine-Gearbox
Hey, my only point was that the lack of a torque tube was not a cost saving measure but a weight saving measure.
Also, no one has given a good reason why the Nissan GT-R does NOT have a torque tube. What do they know that we don't???

Re: Alignment Engine-Gearbox
the Bean Counters wouldn't spend ten more bucks to fit torque tubes for the original design. Actually, there is no torque tube as a weight saving measure. I have an interview somewhere with an Alfa engineer from the '70s (not Busso) that discusses all the trouble they had with the drive shaft inclu...

Re: 116 GTV BRERA Race car !!!
from Wikipedia, here are the details on the stock engine: The JTS (Jet Thrust Stoichiometric) direct injection system was first used in a V6 engine in 2005 with the introduction of the Alfa 159 and Brera. This is not related to the [Busso] Alfa Romeo V6 engine, but is instead a derivation of the GM ...

Re: Ooops, I dropped a valve
Well, the seat is missing from the dropped exhaust valve. I haven't taken off the oil pan to see if it is in there, but I don't think this will tell us much even if it is. A few years ago I had an overheating problem (due to a clogged radiator) perhaps that is the ultimate source of this failure, i....
