South African GTV 3.0 - All info, parts and manuals

Hi All As the topic suggests I am slowly putting together as much info on the these cars here in this thread. I have already loaded quite a lot on FB but when ever I wanted it’s such a pain to search so for me it’s much easier to have it on the forum . Hopefully it will also help me when I forget my...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK with my two South African GTV6's

To true , even though I wanted to keep the carb car at factory spec I might drop it 15mm in the nose . I know it's not much but roads are not great where I am . I even bent the strut brace bar on the Mito a few weaks near my place . However the race car is much lower but it just that every one is us...

Re: Hello from relocation to UK with my three South African GTV6's

I have my old favourite patina'd (or is it patinae ?) wall near my car storage where I like to take pictures of my cars for the insurance updates. I have finally got the three together but no sooner had I done this I had to sell the 2.5. Maybe one day I can buy it back. Here the three which include ...

At least I can keep going to my next point. Maybe you could argue the waterpump belt can snap .... But that is s...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

Hi Michael, looking very good. I see you have also the 3.0 front spoiler as well. On my fiber glass bumpers I made I painted the original insert black ie the black trim area and the bumper appears to be original looking :) also in the black area I could hide my fixing points.

Re: 24v cam timing adjustment

Z, the dealership in SA always quoted for new pulleys in service on the FWD cars as a lot did break on removal with pullers. Also an infinite more amount did not break so the client was then refunded the amount if all went smoothly. Follow Alan’s advice on tool !! Hey a Alan post update of your proj...

Re: 24v cam timing adjustment

You can but it all depends on how easy the cam pulley releases .. otherwise it goes a bit pear shape from there . I have done it a few times.
