Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Wow, nice project this!

How are the cars behaving with the gearbox upfront (weight distribution and so on)?

Re: Alternative to GTA cams for road use in 3.0 24V?

About the headers, the primary manifolds (catless and not casted ones) are the best price/performance option for our engines. secondary pipes can be swapped for equal lenght one and that's about it. Ahm regrinds are totaly usable for daily driving, i had no problems with them... Here you can hear ho...

Re: Alternative to GTA cams for road use in 3.0 24V?

It cost me litlle less than 700euro for AHM regrind and shipping.
I think it's worth it.
Just GTA cams are really a small change for not so small money.

Re: Alternative to GTA cams for road use in 3.0 24V?

I recommend AHM regrinded cams. I have them in my engine and they are great. Idle gets a little lumpy (well it depends how you set them- i have them set at 106° max lift) middle range is quite the same as stock, but from 4500 rpm onward engine just want to rev more and more. Cant say what's the tota...

Re: 24v headwork - power gains

5-7A is around 80W and that's not much.
I dont believe in articles too much because they can be biased. I rather read opinions of owners over wide range of forums to get a bigger picture. Well there are not many owners that use ewp for daily drivers...

Re: 24v headwork - power gains

Hehe well i'm realist too, but i like challenges. Still there are some negative reviews about electric pumps online, and i wonder too, how can 100W motor give enough power to flow the water around efficiently, when we know that much more power is needed.

Re: 24v headwork - power gains

Well in my fwd car the only real place for it is around the gearbox. I have a friend that works with different electric motors, i was thinking more of using the original water pump (wp) and put a motor instead of the pulley. If i look at the pulleys the crank one is a little bigger than the wp. So w...

Re: 24v headwork - power gains

How much power are we talking here?
About el. pump, some say it has to be on the same place as stock because of right water circulation. I really woldnt know, but i would like to run it too, because stock pump takes a few hp and rotates too fast on tuned engine.

@Jim, i'll check the postage...

Re: 24v headwork - power gains

I heard the same, max for our hydraulic lifter-ed engines is 7800rpm, i personally would/will set the limiter to 7600 max. I agree that no porting is needed on 24v, just some port matching and cleaning of leftovers from casting (not much because its a good casting) Jim, i have 2.5 24v engine at home...

Re: My engine 3.0 V6 24V

Hello, yes flywheel is cnc machined down to 7kg. This is why i want to do the balancing of the whole assembly with bobweights, because i know that it's out of balance now. Engine in stock form had dualmas flywheel with over 14kg, than i put on 2.5 singlemass flywheel with 8.4 kg, and lightened it to...
