Re: 24valve motor - Brisbane, Australia
You mean all the parts I sold you are now for sale? :D I bought my 24V and the whole kit 6 years ago. Even bought Beninca runners for it. Haven't done a damn thing with it either. Free bump for Ben. Hah, yeah. Just being realistic, have years worth of projects piled up around the place... just tryi...

24valve motor - Brisbane, Australia
Ok, so, i got serious about putting this in my 164, but now i'm not going to (considering getting rid of the 164) - so it's a 98 GTV v6 3l, with Loom, ECU, airbox, headers, and 24valve 164 mounts/oil cooler takeoff, clutch, PS pump, Alternator and the serpentine belt brackets and pullies (Needs a 16...

Re: 280 Rear wheel horsepower on a low budget
Very nice.
I've often wondered about the 2.5 crank to drop CR - infact i even posed a question on another (non brand specific) forum asking about the outcomes of low boost, 9.5:1 3l vs higher boost, 8:1 2.8l.
One of these days I'll do something neat.

Re: JK 24v 3liter ..at last!
So, I guess this raises the question, is a set of 2.5 24v heads going to be a better starting point for a hot 3l? Much like the 308 Ferrari guys chasing 208 heads as a starting point... obviously the 3l ports are too big unless you're turning 8500rpm+

Throttle body on the inlet side of the blower?
Been having evil thoughts about forced induction on the spare US spec 2l I have for my 105 - got to get it back on the road first though.

Wanted - 164 24V serpentine parts
Ok, so I have a 24valver here with no serp parts to drive the PS/AC/Alternator, and the 164 has started weeping oil into the coolant, so I figured I might as well plug the 24valver into it. Basically I need the alternator mount (already have an AC mount and PS mount), the idler/damper/tensioner moun...

The customer is expected to check profile suitability??? That's nice...passing R&D to the public... I would think the cam manufacturer is responsible for testing his product before releasing it for sale!! That's what every self respecting firm does, it goes without saying!!! Jim ...

Hi Cato - I can't see shipping the sucker to Cape town costing less than $1000 - surely you can find a 3.0 in SA for under $1500 AUD?

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
For future reference the easy way is hook the plumbing up, but leave every thing hanging below the box level, fill, run pump, fill again, mount everything. I'm never quite sure whether its better to run a spray bar and feed the cold oil in over the top of everything (which lets you run less oil and ...

75 12valve 3l engine - Australia
Daniel has 12 valve out of a 3l 75 that got parted out - sitting on a pallet wrapped in plastic ready to ship... $500 takes it, can organise shipping at a great rate through his work too - it's currently in Brisbane. If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll pass you on to him - doesn't seem to b...
