Would these bmw 5 studs fit the GTV6, they are 225, 55, by 15. I think perhaps thay may be too wide?

Sorry meant to say also, that they are 7". I dont know the offset though.

I suspect the offset is not so critical for street application as I have had a variety of "wrong" offset wheels on my car and it didn't make a great deal of difference. There maybe legal compliance issues with your transport authority however and you should check that.

As far as the fit is concerned, they will fit if you change over to the BMW hubs so you can use the core bore and stud sizes. As a direct bolt on, I doubt it. Tyre size is not a problem but you should confirm the rolling circumference of these tyres as being the standard tyre size otherwise your speedo reading will in error. I suspect it will read higher speeds than you are actually travelling.

BTW 225 is too wide a tyre for a 7" rim -215 at the most. 205 probably best.

I think the pcd for 5 stud bmw's are 5 x 100.

If the ofset is larger than the Alfa`s(which I doubt..)The wheels can be made to fit via adaptor spacer.We can do such things here,check out your local authority as Mike said.
Alternatively make up new hubs and stubbs,front and rear.Thats a stunning wheel,never seen that design before..
A 205 or 215 40 17 tire would be my choice.225 too wide perhaps for a 7j rim.

Tire or tyre choice would be 205 50 15 or even 205 55 15.

This is confusing-no M5 wheel is 15".Minimum 17,mostly 18`s and 19`s.
If this is a 15" wheel,its probably for the e36,e30 or e46.
E30 is 4 x 100 pcd,or 5x 112.
E36 and e46 are all 5x 112 pcd.

Even the e28 M5(The first M5 made ) had Michelin 390mm rims..

BMW 5-luggers are 5 X 112 or 5 X 120? I thought it was 120mm?

Those wheels look like wheels off an E34 530i V8. Not a very popular model.

I'm 99% positive BMW rims are 5x120 for the 5-luggers.

The old E30 4-luggers were 4x100.

You'll have to make an adaptor plate to make that work on a 5x98 Alfa hub. By then your backspacing will be quite far off and your wheels may stick out of your fenderwells.

Wtf Barry, and you even own one... 5x120 as previously mentioned and ~20ish ET. I would have to say it would be difficult to fit those.

Hi guys, I dont think they are 15 inch either, they look more like 16 inch to me, they definstely came off of an m5 though, according to the chap that offered em to me. Im gonna measure the stud patten, I take it the 5 stud pattern on beamers are different to the pattern on the Alfas then. Are any other manufacturer 5 stud patterns the same as the GTV? I fear thyere will be too much work involved to make these wheels fit, shame because they are beautiful wheels, I think they would look stunning on the GTV.

For the N. American market these wheels were fitted to the e32 and e34 (7 and 5 series, resp.) V8's in the early '90's. They are in fact 15 x 7.

Quite a salesman, this fellow, as no M was ever fitted with these. Enjoy your wheels none-the-less.

Alfajam's right. These were off the BMW models he stated. These are 16" x 7" rims, however. I know. I have a set for my '85 M635CSI that I use for track tires. And yes, 225 series fit nicely on them. Remember, you can run 205's on the stock 6" GTV6 rims.....

BTW, the first 'M' Series Euros came with BBS RS 3 piece lightweight rims shod with 245/45 415 TRX crap tires. The rims could not hold up and would crack at the lips sometimes causing serious problems. There was a campaign for replacement for the 2 piece forged rims as a result.

Enlightening. They will have been produced in 15" & 16" then, as I run the former (from a 1994 540) on a e36 325is.
