Micke, do you have any pictures of the completed sway bar attachment points on the LCA's?

Any pics of hollow bars? I think I'm at the point where I would rather increase roll stiffness with sway bars rather than upping spring rates.

Must be somewhere on this forum. BTW, after this posting a friend had problems clearing the chassis with the Berlina bar.

tubular front sway bars

Post by benski105 »

i have a tubular bar almost set up.

i ordered some splined arms to fit my 1 1/4" bar from speedway engineering. all i have to do now is cut the arms down as they are very long and drill some holes for the drop links.

ill take some pics of what i have and post them.

32 mm outside dia and 20 mm inside which is a touch stiffer as a solid 30 mm bar

How did you bend the arms to that shape?

Is stainless steel similar in torsional strength to mild steel? Would you recommend I use mild steel to save money?

brute force
Local black smith did the forming and tig welding for me.

For the tubing I strongly advise to use seamless.
Mild steel is a fraction stronger, money was here the driver.
I happened to find a seamless ss pipe for a reasenable price and made a small series.
The price of was no where near a massive bar..
I can't make a living from it
