Gentlemen,

I am at the fortunate position to present you some photos of my new wheels.
Ronal Turbo 7x15, ET 25 (a real pain to mount them with the GTV6 brakes though...)

Hey X-file, when you gonna put a REAL engine in that noise machine? I'll give you a hint...it has more than 5 cylinders and less than 7....this will make for a busy weekend with the calculator, right?
You blew it today guy, we had a GREAT time at the track with Ron...!

TS Turbo: We made special 8mm spacers and even then we had to file a small amount of the 'bulge' of the front calipers...
JK: How was that Group A 75 you talked about?Fast enough?I bet that compared to The Ring the circuit must have seemed childish to Ron...
Anyway i definitely should test the car there after a couple of kms of course (we do not want to blow the engine...yet).
Thanks for the comments

I have always thought those were the best looking GTV6 wheels ever. I like the car's color to.

Real nice...look like the Alfa cast Campi mags which also look like the Schmidt wheels...and you probably could have driven to Germany and watch them make you a set in less than 10 years...

x-rad: You have just touched the sensitive spot here, the split-rim compomotive (or schmidt) that you mention is according to my humble opinion the absolute best wheel that can be put on a 116 gtv, period...
The problem is that the Schmidt wheels cost around 2.000Euros a set and the Compomotives are surrounded in mystery as far as Greece is concerned, (local importer did not bother to answer my e-mail regarding ordering of these wheels).
Anyway i think that my quest has been terminated (for now)...

X: I know what you mean about cost...although the TH line seems to have decreased a little in price lately....I think they are down to about 4-500$ USD for 16's and about 400$ for 15's .....

I have been wanting to buy a set for at least a year...but the wheels are taking a second place to diapers for twins.....

X: nice looking rims. Looks like the ones in the group A racing GTV6's in Oz in the 80's.

BTW, is yours a 2L as the rims are 4 studs?

bteoh:i think you refer to the 'ignis fridges' Group A GTV6 of Colin Bond that raced indeed in the 80's as you correctly point out.The fact is that those were 16inch split rims and centre locking as well (which means also extremely expensive...)
By the way the car is indeed a two liter but wears gtv6 brakes and calipers (as well as a few other things as well).
Thanks for the comments!

Hey Mr X, think you been hangin around JK too long. All very well to get compliments about your wheels but I hope your big enough to take few negative ones as well.

Nice wheels but they belong on a Mercedes limo or an Alfa 90 but on a GTV coupe, I don't think so.

Sorry to dull the glow but that's the real world-not always what you expect.
