I'm currently fitting older style (pre 1985) 4 stud wheel hubs to my GTV6 with the newer style front wheel axle diameter. What I want to do is to fit the wheel bearings from the newer cars in the older front hubs.
The main question is: Are the outer front wheel bearings the same outer diameter between old and new?
As far as I know Alfa increased the inner diameter of the outer bearings around 1985. That should mean it's still ok to use the older hubs on newer wheel axles, provided one use newer bearings.
Am I wright? Can I do it, will things fit across?
