Could someone tell me what the correct length of the inner tie rode are for the GTV6? I understand the part numbers are different for each side, but i dont know if the lengths are different too.

Reason I ask is that I think I got a wrong length one when I bought parts for the front end rebuild I'm doing

Thanks,
Scott

The part I have a question on goes from the ends of the steering rack to the tie rod ends at the steering knuckle/spindle/upright. My old one was 9 inches from the flat that abuts the rack to the end. The new one is more like 10- 10.5 (its still in the car). With both adjusters full in i still have a bunch of toe-in. I'm trying to figgure out what is supposed to be there, as I've found some other things put together strangely.

Murray,
Thanks, that is almost what I need.

I need the length of the part that the "N" dimension is on when out of the car. The "M" dimension would help if I knew exactly where the center of the steering rack was, unfortunatly I don't.

Thanks for the help though,
Scott

Scott,

The tie rod ends are the same length on both sides. I'm doing a full suspension rebuild on my car right now. The original tie rods are 90 mm in length and the new replacements are 88 mm due to manufacturing. The new ones have better casting. The suppliers also list the same PN for both sides. I think this is the question you are asking. It's the part shown in the 'N' picture to the right. HTH...

Thanks brookstroutr,

That's just what i needed.

I had to ask you all about it because I've seen several things on this car that look like they are assembled right, but are in fact wrong and I don't yet know the difference  .

Thanks again,
Scott

It looks like the 87-88 toyota truck uses the same inner tie rod as the GTV6, but .020inch shorter. I will find out for sure tommorow :D

OK, the inner tie rod that will work, but is a bit (.050in) shorter is a MOOG EV241.

I hope that helps.
