I might have missed it but what spring rates did you choose?

Do you have the rear setup too?

X-rad:

If you are goign to use this car at all on the street, I highly recomend you get atleast all 4 shocks. Ron/Intrax shocks ride amazingly. They make what should be a very harsh ride almost plush. If you don't buy 4 shocks you might regret it as the rear will never feel right.

Spring rates I think are a more simple matter so w/e holds the car off the ground should work.

Paul,

if you dont mind me asking, how much was the entire set up? i.e RS front and rear and the front roll bar? Alex J took me for a spin in his 75 3.0 with Rons set up installed, and I was amased how the original ride quality didnt seem to have been spoiled! It wasnt harsh or bone shaking at all, it handled on rails but was comfortable. How was the gtv after installing it, in terms of our crappy roads?

Did you fit it? straight forward?

That's what I was amazed by too. I really think whoever sells these kits should really make that one of their main marketing oints. Just the pictures make them look really extreme.

HI all,

The kit cost me £1200, I only have the front and rear springs, the front anti roll bar 30mm, and the SZ de dion center ball joint and polly bushes all round. anyhting else would be too harsh for the road I think.

Are you saying 1200 UK pounds or 1200 euro?

Is anybody using Koni sport shocks and springs that Performatek sells?

How much thread is exposed after installation on the front two coilovers? So, at the top of the front suspension, how much thread is left showing at the tops of the shock bodies?

If I were to use Ron's kit with modified spindles, would it be better to make a longer bottom bracket, or put a wide spacer on top of the shock body, like the blue neoprene looking unit on the rear of Paul Bird's set?
