About 550 bucks exchange buys you a reconditioned and modified 2.2 turns lock-to-lock Spica manual rack.

Jes and I have 'em and they bare more like 2.1 turns if you ask me!

Luis, I fitted the standard 75 3.0 PS rack, I know that with its 3.2 turns it's not pretty fast, but still faster than stock.

Anyone knows about any PS rack with about 2.5 turns?

Jose,

do you use the rack with or without PS?
I don't want PS but the 75 rack would be an upgrade from the original Alfetta 7 turns or so.

I fitted the whole PS system: rack, pump, reservoir bottle...

There's a company in the UK called TAS (TransAutoSport) who make a quick manual rack+pinion for the 116 series. Some time ago, I contacted them for a quick PS unit and they said it was entirely feasible. You all want to gang-up and show some real interest in this, or is it going to end up like the Quaife idea again? I'll drop TAS a line again and see what they think.

Any idea of how much it will be?

This Summer i´m going to start my 75 race project, it´s going to be Rally specs for sure, so i need a fast PS rack to make some easy drifts.

You get really tired doing this whithout ps and 3.5 turns !!:

It's all about the price...

Luis: Just lighten the crap out of the car and slap on a 2.1 rack... That's what I got, very nice and I wouldn't be without it on the track.

In this case I'm in. I can manage with the original steering but it really is too slow. I have an extra rack from a 75 TS and if it is enough faster I might try it (Don't need the Ps though)

Really didn't feel the Quaiffe sec/$ ratio was OK for me. Sorry about that.

I converted a 75 ts ps rack to non ps. Just put the oil out, fill with grease and put a balance tube between the left and right chamber.
I think I have seen it on several dutch trofeo cars and the milano of Greg Gordon's father?

Will have too see what it brings :-)

For me it depends on the price too

I am defenately interested though. It is also good that the PS rack can be made manual as it gives more flexibility if you invest in a quick PS rack kit.

By the way, at the Autosport motorsport exhibition in Birmingham back in January, I asked the quaife team about an LSD for our cars and got the confirmation (again) that they haven't done it yet. Thay need an order of at least 20 pieces though to do it. Last time it was discussed I think they asked for 30?? I was playing with the sequential Gboxes they had on display.. DAMN a sequential transaxle would be nice

Powerflex was also there but I forgot to ask them for those poly-donuts... :x

Maurizio: You like the feel?
I was thinking of doing that for my 75 T, got the rack and everything... :)
