Hi 4SFED4, Your GTV with the BBS looks really nice. :D

With these wheels on your car what is the distance between the tyre to the quarter panel. :?

Did you convert your hubs PCD to 5x114.3? If you did, I'm interested.

Can't give a pic right now... I can slide my fingers in between the tire and lip up to the hand. A 9" rim will fit no problem given proper offset. Without modification I do not see 265's fitting. 255's just might.

Yes, SO many more options with that PCD. Just re-drilled the Alfa hubs accordingly and never looked back!

Has any one fitted 235/50/R15 tyres to the rear of there Alfetta GTV.
I want to fit these tyres to my rear Rims but hard to find street legal tyres. :(
Standard GTV 195/60/15 tyre are 615 mm diameter and 235/50/R15 tyre are 616 mm diameter.

If you car is lowered, I am confident those will not fit, too tall.

Have you looked at a 245 40R15? Should be no problem even on a lowered car. I know they make that size.

PS: You can go with a narrower tire on a wide wheel and still get that tire and wheel look. I am not suggesting a drastic undersize but a 225 or a 245 on a 9" rim will look almost identical. The narrower tire will actually give a more vintage look since it will make the sidewall look a wee bit rounder.

Hi 4SFED4.
My rear rims are 255 mm wide do you think that 225 tyres would be ok.
The tyres would be 30 mm thinner . :?:

2 websites for you.

tyrestretch.com and rimtuck.com

You can see photos of people doing similar things.

Here is a link to https://tyrestretch.com/10.0-225-50-R15 ... 25-50-R15/ for a 225 15 on a 10" (255mm) rim. It is a bit of a stretch but if it fits under your wheel well would look pretty cool I think. I would NOT suggest this amount of stretch if you plan to use this car in motorsports events, you will NOT get by tech. Fine if you are just having fun on the street and want that wide tire look.

This link compares a 225 50 R15 to what I am running a 225 35 R17. https://tiresize.com/calculator/

I think you would be fine with a 225 50 R15 and on this link on a 240Z it looks stunning, hell I might change!

I changed my Simmons 3 piece rim inners from 170mm to 140mm which made the total width of the rim from 255mm to 225mm.
Fitted new set of tyres and all fits great, I need to lower the rear of the car 50mm. :D

Some photos of mostly 16" wheels that I took this last month. Some good collections.
