The importance of the weight of the wheels is highly exaggerated.

However, given the choice you can save 20 kg of mass which also is rotating and unsprung. It is not insignificant.

Hi Marc!
He's right, I meant the US would a shortage of these newer-style wheels because they stopped selling Alfa in that country at some stage (19 90 something).

I think they stopped selling in the US in 1996. The only model we had at that point was 164, I believe. We also only got the 75 (Milano) until 89. Almost all US Alfas seem to be the old style Spiders.

some really nice wheels here - esp blue 75 with black technomagnesio... 8)

My GTV6 has DTM Fin 17x7.5 ET38 with 215/40 tyres. I think it suits the car, not too modern, not too retro - looks 'superturismo' dontyathink!

Blue Alfetta chasing me has Simmons B-45, which are a nice 'period' wheel for a pre-nuova car.

I'd like a nice set of 15x7 wheels to mount some race tyres on (even anybody reasonably local has some that they would part with).

GarthW,

Heard Hugh Harrison wanted to sell the Ignis Alfa. However, he wants mega mega dollars for it so I am sure you can buy it for the wheels :-)

That Giulietta is the sort of thing that stirs my soul. That car is awesome. Would love to put my V6 in one that looked like that!
Fixing it bit by bit....
