Hey Enzo !
Are you sure you haven't received mine ?
Or, perhaps, you want me to get jalous.
I'm still waiting for it but mine should be delivered to me next
week if I trust what Lokari told me.
I hope they will look as good as the one I can see on your pics.
How do you think they will fit the car ?
Best regards.
Billy

Ok Enzo!
I feel much better. (just kidding !)
Once the parts will be on my side (hopefully next week),
I will post you some pics of it.
Anyway, It seems that the price on Ebay is very interresting.
If I were you, I would have a closer look to it.
For your information, I payed 140 € for my set (shipping cost included).
Regards.

Dear Enzo and Dennis,
Here they are ! and as promised here are the pics.
I finally received the ordered splash guards.
They look quite nice and I will start the installation tomorrow.
I already know that some cut off will be necessary to make it fit well.

Long live to snakes on wheels !
Hello Enzo, Dennis and all the other ones,
Just take a look at the pics below and you'll see how my new
splash guards look like now.
It took about two hours to install but the result worth it.
Don't you think so ?

I have been thinking about your project.
Are you intending to leave the polished metal as is?
The reason why I say that is most contemporary finishes in these areas comprise a synthetic/plasticised rubber compound with the body colour applied as a finish. The effect of this is to reduce tyre noise and stone/road noise.
If you had intended to do anything like that, it probably would have been easier to do so prior to fittment.

MD,
I would have enjoyed to find plastic splash guards but the only one
I could find were made of aluminium (due to the age of the car).
I think it would be useless to put additional plastic layer over it just to
reduce noices coming from tyres and/or stones unless someone would
show me a real difference.
So, I'm affraid to say that the splash guards may stay as they are.
It is very difficult to see these parts once the car is on wheels and the
overall look of the car isn't affected at all (trust me !)
I'll post pics in order to convince you next time I get the car out of my
garage. But be ready to wait a bit as the weather is not very friendly
these days around here.

I think you may have misunderstood my comment. I did not mean a plastic liner like in new cars.
I meant applying a compound to the liners you have to give it that effect.
I also anticipate that unless you give that aluminium some protective coating, it will quickly develop serious corrosion where they salt the roads.
Just a suggestion. Feel free to do as you like.
