Anybody else having this problem ?

Post by Murray »

Today whenever I use the "view posts since last visit" or any of the posts since (time) options I'm getting this message:
You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while
Anybody else ?

The "View posts since last visit" function is essentially a custom search - and users are limited to a certain number of these per minute.
You should see the same thing if you try to run searches too quickly - its to avoid other sites potentially running automated searches on alfagtv6.com.
If you get this message, just wait a bit and you should be able to re-run the search. Also, make sure you are logged in - the behavior might be different for anonymous users.

There is nothing wrong with the time settings - just make sure you have the correct time zone selected in your Profile. The code does not shift automagically for daylight savings time so, presuming you are West Coast USA, you will want to set it to GMT-8 - YMMV.
