Dyno Runs

Thought I'd add this new thread for any Megasquirt runners out there. Car is an 83 GTV6

Engine= 3.0 12valve (complete with power steering), stock bottom end 9.5CR, stock heads & valves. Stock GTV6 style inlet runners, plenum & throttle valve.

Mods = CB 104294 cams, No AFM, induction kit courtesy Greg Gordon, bigger injectors, CSC manifolds, Ansa back box.

Megasquirt board 2.2, firmware 021b, Megatune 225b326, controlling fuel and spark via distributor and single coil.

172 rwhp @ 6250rpm (170+ between 5750 & 6500)
193 ftlb torque @ 4500 (180+ between 2600 & 5800)

FYI Eddy current type dyno at 1018 millibars, 15 degrees Celsius.

Dyno operator reckons this "normalises" to 203.5 hp flywheel. Miles short of a screaming 3.7 24v I know and I'd absolutely love one but heh, this was on a miniscule diy budget ! :wink: Just need to save up for the blower kit now....

Operator was very impressed with how easy the MS was to tune in real time on a laptop using input from their wideband O2 sensor

Sounded rather splendid too in typical Alfa V6 fashion.
