I guess I need to cover for my mate Daniel and say that the last time I contacted him for yet another collaboration on a modification, he was looking for a spare head for his shoulders cause he is working flat out. I therefore am assuming that we are not getting a response for the same reason but knowing him, he will definitely get there but it just might take longer than he would like.

..as for the Brick, he's temporarily out of action getting some flywheel bolt mods, new custom driveshaft coupling, custom harmonic balancer and valve clearance mods..

Thanks Mike, but I'm actually loking to clone myself so I can get all of my work done and play at the same time.

Sorry if I don't respond for a while some times but I do get back here eventually.

Here's some more pics of a little more progress.

I put the bonnet on and found that the Motronic's AFM didn't want to fit under it - the AFM on a 24v is way bigger than a 12v. So aftermarket management it is. Still throwing ideas around - thanks for the input and advice Mef, Brian & Baz.

The muffler is one of 2 that I made for the rear. It is 2.5" in and twin 2" out. The system will run a 2.5" pipe per bank with an X pipe in it, maybe with a twin in/twin out 2.5" straight through centre muffler, back to the 2 rear mufflers and out of the four 2" tips. Catalytic converters are compulsory here for a road car, so these will be on the car at inspection time.
I will take more pics as I progress with it and probably stick them in the exhaust topic.

Hmmm...
Can't seem to add pics - any suggestions?

Ahh,, now I can put up the pics.

Did some muffler testing on the weekend - used a mates Mazda MX5 with straight thru 2.25" system.
This car is pretty lolud at full noise. Stuck one of my mufflers on the back and made a huge difference. I think I'll leave the centre muffler out of my system when I do it.

Also got a set of seats, they are about 6kg each against the original seats 20+ kg each, now I neet to fit them. Looks like the standard mount points will have to have their spot welds drilled and be relocated.

Hey, nice vents Mats but I actually hadn't seen yours when I made mine (a couple of years ago now)
There is some evil itb engined thing (in the UK I think) with a fibreglass bonnet that has 4 vents - 2 at the front, 2 rear. I saw pics of it years back and liked the idea.

Daniel,

Can you give some more info on your muffler's internal? Is it a standard straightflow or does it have some chambers or a combination of chambers and straightflow. I'm looking for a muffler which can cancel the lower frequencies. Read up some patents on it and it's quite doable.

Muffler testing - is that what its called in Oz !! Car looks very stylish with the way you have done the bonnet and with those bumpers. Better than the bonnet on the 3.7l of Dawie's.

Thanks, I like the look that has come together with the bumpers and bonnet - not too overstated.
Do you think that it's a bit of a givaway that it isn't stock anymore ? Maybe the 4 two inch pipes out the back will do that.
