A trunkload of wheels... :)
Never underestimate the size of the trunk/boot in a Saab 9-5.
Four (4!) 235/40-17" on 9" wide rims fits in there.

I had to pop the rear set just a tad but I still think it's amazing.
Image

My brake pressure transducers have arrived too, now I can log brake pressure. 2 channels, front and back. Will be interesting to see how the Wilwood pressure adjustment valve actually works. 8)
Image

Connector looks somewhat "indoors" but I think it will do, the thing that is a bit strange is that it's possible to put the connector on the wrong way. That will need some attention.

A DASH2 would be nice I think... :wall:

How much are the brake pressure senders? Which brand (Bosch)? The ones from Race Technology are $$$ ($290 a piece), but of course you don't need to worry about figuring out Volt to Pressure mapping (which can be difficult without special equipment since pressure in brakelines can be quite high). BTW, the Race Technology ones go to 250 bar. Do you already have the Volt-Pressure curve? Since I'm redoing brake lines anyway, I'm thinking of adding ports for sensors as well. I think the Race Technology sensors are AN3. Are yours a pipe fitting or 10x1?

The non-engineer answer would be that they are 0-5v 0-100bar and linear to within 0.05% so there is your curve. 8)
But being an engineer I'll probably do a few plots to verify.

These ones are pure eBay, cost was around 10Pound Sterling... So I even got a spare. :)
Several pressure ratings available but talking to the brake guys at work they figured 100bar would be fine and that is my gut feeling to so what the h3ll, if I'm wrong I just buy some more.
The thread is actually 1/4"NPT, that was the only thread I recognized in their list, A whole lot of weird standards out there obviously. The Race Technology sender is listed as M10x1, where did you see the AN3?

Oops, you are correct. It does say 10x1 - it looked like a 37* angle and I thought I had preciously read AN3. Wow, that _is_ cheap! Do they have an ebay listing/shop with sensors?

What are you planning in terms of engine management? One that can interface directly with DL1? So, you'll have DL1 and DASH2, maybe feed DL1 directly from the ECU with info.

Here's the link to the shop:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/See-it-Sold-it

I already have the ECU, it's a DTA S80.
Quite capable to deal with all my (engine controlling) needs. 8)

Ahh, that's right - I saw that somewhere already.

Is that ECU compatible with DL1, i.e. can you connect the two and the DL1 will get many variables from the ECU? This would be nice since you quickly run out of analog inputs on the DL1. Getting some parameters from the ECU (letting it do the AD) will save a few. I'm using practically all "regular" analog inputs on my DL1, and I don't log or display brake pressure, steering angle, ... Perhaps that is also related to the fact that I provide all analog inputs to the DL1 and then have the serial cable to DASH2. I could possible provide some analog inputs to DASH2 and some to DL1, but from an engineering perspective it gets kind of messy having analog inputs going everywhere... Of course, there is always DL2, but $$$.

How much do those 9x17 autodelta rims weigh?

Yep, there is an ECU cable available. No problems. :)
What do you use all the inputs for?

Rims are regulation weight, 9Kg each.

what the h*ll is a DL1 or a DL2??

oh, i looked it up in the wikepedia "data language"

so the input to the computer from afm or off course the more modern things

tbs or maf, watertemp,...??

and what does the DL2 does better than the DL1

Why no engine bay pics of Evo75...?

Why is your bonnett so bent on Alfetta?

Did some fat guy sit on it after blowing his knee out or something..?

No video or anything..?

Why is the intercooler so close to engine...? Where is radiator..?

DL1 and DL2 are data loggers: http://www.race-technology.com - Some time back when I was looking to add data logging to my race car, Mats suggested Race Technology. It is quite nice.

Mats, I have engine oil temperature, engine oil pressure, transmission oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage. That is 7, so I should have one left. I want to add AFR, so no room for brake fluid pressure, steering angle, etc. Of course, I use RPM input, and I still have 4 frequency channel inputs, e.g. wheel speed. My setup is colored by the fact that I drive DASH2 with the serial cable from DL1, and have no other inputs (besides the 4 button input) to the DASH2.

I don't have a 75 Evo, and there are plenty of pics of those on the net. Nothing fancy or interesting there.

Why is my bonnet so bent on alfetta? What do you mean? I have an alfetta GTV and that's why this thread is littered with alfetta pics.
Video? Video of what? did you miss my site (onemanracing.com)?

If you read the TEXT 8) by the pic you see that it is only put there temporarily to check the core size and to take som pictures, it will be in front of the front plate when in it's final position, the radiator goes where the intercooler is standing in the pictures.

Don't you get battery voltage internally from the DL1? Maybe not necessary to use an analog input for that?
And I think you should definetly use the analog inputs on the DASH2 for the temps and pressures and such. :)
I'm getting those for "free" with the ECU cable which is quite nice.

On the newer DL1s battery voltage is not automatic. On the older it was, but then you only had 7 regular (instead of 8 ) analog inputs (disregarding frequency inputs) available. Yeah, it is a nice feature to read stuff off the engine management ECU.

The only reason I didn't use the inputs on the DASH2 is that it provides a cleaner layout the other way, but I will probably change it to better exploit the data logging.
