Hello from germany!
Hello there!
I am Tilman from germany and just traded in my 2l Bertone into a black GTV6.
My father infected me with the Alfa-Virus when I was he child. (He used to drive a 916 spider).
So the first "real" car I got was a 145 with the 1,6l boxer engine.
(Before I had a Suzuki LJ80.).
Made a small "japanese" break then with a '99 WRX.
Even if the car was seriously, fast handled like a dream and did sound quite good, something was lacking. So I sold the 320hp/400nm rice rocket and got a Bertone.
Somehow the car didn't fit me either. It sounded nice and handled nice but again something was lacking. But can't tell what it was.
So here I am with my black GTV6. Hopefully this car gives me what I am searching for.
At the moment I am trying to get the german registration done. Biggest problems with this are the yellow headlights, as those aren't allowed in germany. The same goes for the aftermarket steering wheel that came with the car...
So expect lots of questions from me soon.

No, just a normal picture with a normal camera. The location is an old coking plant that belongs to a bigger mining complex that is now a Unesco world heritage place.

Welcome to the forum mr. Policeman I hope that only thing your bertone was lacking was only 2 cylinders , my dream car though... Regarding the yellow lights, since gtv6 is a vintage vehicle already, cannot this be bypassed somehow?
Re: Hello from germany!
Hello,
Beautiful GTV6. Why is an aftermarket steering wheel an issue?

Re: Hello from germany!
Because the German government has decided that the car must be bone stock when you register it the first time in the country. I'm guessing this is a french car imported to germany?
EB-spares have headlights (LHD too).

Re: Hello from germany!
Doesn't have to be completly stock. An aftermarket wheel that is allowed by the german TÜV would be ok too. But the one that is in the car isn't approved in germany. But I allready got a original one on ebay today.
Its from the netherlands.

Your car is a beautiful example.
I am guessing after you have changed over a few cars you will be having some issues with the gear shift. Don't let that deter you. There are plenty of items you can look up on the Forum to sort it out. It is hard to say how many original examples of these cars will remain as everybody I know is upgrading them in one way or another to get them up to speed (so to speak) with contemporary sports cars.
If you have trouble sourcing the original clear headlights, do a conversion using a substitute like the Hellas in the following pics. The lenses aren't as well designed as the Carellos but the reflectors will last 5 times as long. The conversion works very well.

Re: Hello from germany!
So far the original steering wheel is in place.
The headlights have to wait for july, but I will get a temporary registration next weekend for a drift-training some mates organized on an old airport.
