I've just read 34 pages, and resisted reading the last page first.....aaaarrrghhh! Now I have to wait like everone else to see the happy ending!!

Interesting read none the less. What comp ratio have you gone with? They've \ got more dome than mine (the second good pair even) and I run 8.5:1.

Are you planning on doing anything to reduce the chance of blown headgaskets (and don't say a good tune!). No fire ring or similar?

I'd like to hear more about drivetrain mods....clutch? Which donuts will you use...not Alfa..BMW?

What boost will you run, what Hp do you want and what rpm will this all happen at?

Lots of questions, but after 34 pages, I need answers man ;-).

PS, you sound like a bloke from OEM automotive manufacture...N&V, Powertrain...engineer...likes to graph stuff...Unigraphics. Well Toyota use Catia (spelling?!...I'm an Engineer...can't spell), GM uses UG. Are you in ride and handling or something, sounds like you know plently about suspension.

Anyway, you might like to read this....but don't let it get in the way of turbo progress :-).

Thanks for a good read.

Thanks a lot. :)

CR is 7.5:1, remember, 2.0 engine. I have no idea what the boost will end up at, it's really not important. As low as possible is my goal. Also no special design to be "safe" from blowing head gaskets. Lowish boost and good control of the ignition timing will hopefully keep it in check.

There will be no donuts, CV joints front and back and a U-joint in the middle, no more exploding rubber... 8)
The clutch will probably be a Helix unit, organic plate with sprung centre, needs to be easy to drive and be able to take some slippage in the take-off. Sprung centre to save the gearbox...

Stay tuned for some stuff, hopefully....

Today I spent the day at the racetrack. Nice.

It was easy to spot the fastest raceline.

The fastest line was the one that the tractor had plowed in the up to 30cm deep snow...

Not much happening in my part of the world, it's all work-work..

Yes, new assignment since oct 25, this time it includes about 2½ hours commuting time per day, can't complain though as it is my dream job. :)
Working ~50 hour weeks and adding 12.5 hours of driving time to that makes a pretty weak foundation for getting stuff done in the garage though. :?

Seems like the longest winter ever, yesterday I was outside the whole day on the ice in -28 degrees working the camera. That's ~2.5Kg of metal that also is around -28,
1006 pictures taken, condensed down to 16. :)

Today I passed the Arctic Circle four times in two different contries (yes with a margin, I know the earth axis shifted a bit..) Only took about 900 pictures. Haven't really gone through them all yet. :?

Tomorrow, snowmobiles! It's supposed to be blue skies and around -4, perfect! Loaded batteries and emptied mamory cards! Maybe I canget some video too. :)
2½ weeks in the north of Sweden and half a week left or so, finally we can relax and play a little. :D
