Right now there is a 4.55:1 LSD box I built myself but I also have a 4.3:1 LSD that will probably be used. The 4.55 will be a bit short now I hope... :)

MD: sure, the engine lift points on the ts is easy. Nord is not that easy. Not sure about loading the head gasket either... :?

The instrument panel is back in place and the bouncing Alfa gauges are now replaced with Autometer units.
The new electrical system is not completely done as you can see. ;) Mostly the logging stuff and the engne management left, the new fuse box is in place and most of the wires are there.

Image

The "stereo hole" will be replaced by a switch panel. I still have some warning lights like high beams, you never know what happens. :D

Image

New main battery switch bracket, I now reach it with both hands while strapped down without having to really strech my arms which is nice.
The battery cable is now protected by a Nylon braiding, looks nice too. Yes, the three point seatbelt stuff is coming off any day now... ;)

Image

Battry box, main fuse (!), fuel lines and a mount for the DL1 on the cage.
The bubble wrap is protecting the fresh (as in never seen daylight) paint on my updated cage.

Image

Front part of the fuel lines, the fuse box and my lovely MSD ignition amplifier which together with my MSD Blaser2 coil is going to ignite everything in the combustion chamber, whatever it might be. :)

Image

It's going to be very tight between the hoses from the intercooler to the throttle body...
Maybe time to think about putting the dump valve on the intercooler?

Image

Trying out possible positions of the water pump and alternator, not too simple to make it all work.

Image

Without the plenum it's more obvious, main track is to route the water hose between the distributor and the engine block.
The fuel lines on the engine side of the firewall is also visible and the fuel pressure regulator in a possible placement.

Thanks!

Yes, it's in the FIA regs so no problems, I will add protective covers so no-one can put a foot on it...

Mats , your work is really neat and well thought out . Sometimes it becomes really hard to build a race car because to do it properly takes time and then you loose interest . Keep posting pics as it has really helped when doing my car . I have a long way to go again to neaten up.
Are you gonna plumb in a fire suppression system or just use standard extinguisher.?
What's your final thoughts on prop ? ( if it's any consolation my "standard" V6 prop with front cage on standard couplings has done nearly 3 years hard track time and no signs of wear on any of the couplings. - that's with 190 kw on the wheels .

Thanks Kevin!

I'm thinking of plumbing something in, initially I was thinking that it wasn't needed but I don't know... :?
To be honest, I'm thinking about leaving the prop stock until I got everything together and running. I need to have everything back again real soon not to lose motivation. The clutch will slip like a M-F but what the h3ll... :D

Luckily I found a CAD model of the turbo manifold that worked so now I have a list of cutting angles and relative rotations so hopefully I can start with the damn thing soon. About time too! :!:

Are planning to implement flat-shift? I wonder how the gearbox will handle it.... sounds like a stripped pinion waiting to happen. But my autronic has it, and so does your DTA and it sounds cool :)

No flat shift for me. No use with a synchromesh gearbox.
I'll keep it real simple at first and add the fancy stuff as I have spare time...

Been up in winter wonderland for 3 weeks now for winter tests, nothing has been done for ages, quite depressing.
Tomorrow I'll go to the garage and draw up a plan...

Well i have to install my CSC headers before next weeks time trials. I also just finished a tming belt job on myToyota V8 tow vehicle. That V8 job really makes working on the Alfa look like a piece of cake. Just like you Im not that motivated to work on my race car its been sitting around for almost 3.5 months gathering dust. But when I watch the 75s whip the 348 challenge cars on the Swedish tracks, makes me a little bit more motivated :)
