I looked sometimes in the uk and there are some very interesting sz for sale for reasonable prices..
One which kept me awake a few nights.....
1990 Alfa Romeo SZ For Sale- £25,000
- 61,417 miles
- Petrol
- West Sussex, United Kingdom
This is a significantly tweaked example of the iconic Alfa Romeo SZ. In place of the usual 12 valve engine a supercharged V6 24 valve engine producing in excess of 300 bhp, This is a seriously fast car! The bodywork is in good conditio...
Luckily I didn't have the budget nor the place for it
Banned.. ? Daily donky.. ==> BMW 325d
E36M3 (3.0) Ringtool ==> definitely BANNED!
AR 75 TS Ringtool '90, AR Spider 2000 veloce '79
Finally the container arrived and there were no problems . Customs did not even open but then their was no reason to anyway .
Off course the weather also welcomed the car and 30 mins later it started snowing .
Now to negotiate the one sided ramp
Car started second time as battery was a bit cold . All six carbs spluttered into life then settled down . Took it for drive around block and discovered how cold the gearbox actually can get as second gear snagged for the first time ever but was perfect after two mins . Oil pressure also higher than normal . Having the ride hight standard helped down the ramps but I will put one of those adjuster torsion bars set ups on as I brought a few with me . Maybe I will wait until summer .

Nah it's not cold for the locals , its only 2degress , but for us Seff efricans who are used to walking around in shorts it's friggin nippy .
By the way have they switched on the power in Alberton yet !
I bet , just to keep the sun off your arms. I was a bit irritated yesterday as I had a puncture in a brand new tyre with a drill bit sticking out the side wall on the Giulietta and problem was I could not find my gloves to hold the wheel spanner . Thought of pre heating the wheel spanner in the oven first .
At least it's not like the temps in Belgium at the moment .
Xavier - I will let you know which plugs are better of the GTV shortly . It also depends on compression of your car . It's either the NGk bp7es or the NGK bp 6es . I will test both .
Yes , I did find it strange that they are the same specs . We were always told never mix the green stripe pump with the standard GTV 6 2.5 pump when working with carbs . Good research there .
Who said there is no sun in the UK . It was pumping out there today ...... well maybe it was above 10 degrees but The Giulietta needed cleaning . This 170 hp diesel is a great car and really enjoying a diesel for the first time . Power delivery is smooth and strong with good gear ratios . This motor is light years ahead of my old 1.9 GT diesel . Took the carb GTV for a run today and seemed to draw attention at the Garage as few people came to ask questions about car. Maybe because it still has foreign plates . Wow this altitude really makes the carb GTV really strong and surprise - no more fuel leaks on seals .
