Sold the Black 75 Turbo this saturday. I've had it since 9th feb 01 so it's just over 6 years. Feels pretty strange now, the empty space in the garage looks weird every time I see it.
Anyway, it was time to move on. Didn't drive it more then just over 20Km in the last 2 years and it didn't feel right to just have it standing around. The car started right up (I mean instantly, first compression stroke) without any smoke, idle was dead even and the brakes were beautiful, no rattling or anything anywhere and the chassis was ultra tight. Amazing after almost two years of standstill.
I think it got a good home though so I'm not feeling too bad about it. No fear of the typical hack-it-up-to-fit-a-front-mounted-intercooler thing.
Not easy to find a nice -87 turbo these days.

For now I'll just stick to my racing GTV and enjoy the extra space in the garage. I can use it for some other stuff (like a new fibreglass front end for the GTV maybe) and the money will feed my racing this summer.
Oh yeah, I'm going to buy a new couch/sofa for my living room.

Mats,
You're going to miss that car I am sure! but priorities shift don't they.
We had a black 89 Milano that we bought around 1994 - it was in just amazing condition, drove it for another 8 years and sold it with I think 80K on it and it was still just as nice as the day we got it. We sold it at the right time, it was my wifes main car and 6 months later she started having a very high mileage commute for work ... it would have taken a toll on the Milano.
At one point we owned 3 transaxles - that was a lot to take care ... In the aftermath it has been nice having just the one Alfa to take care of and keep in shape.
Well, I sold one of my 75 Turbos from -87, I didn't say I sold all of my -87 Turbos.
Got one left, bought as a shell so I have no problems with modifications to the sheet metal on that one.
It's in hibernation right now though, not even got a timeplan for it but I still buy parts for it. Got a set of Brembo 4-pot calipers today for instance (and it's not even 9AM yet).

nisaar: Thanks. I't sold now though, never used it and it felt wrong to have it standing around just for the hell of it. Made sure it has a good home now though.
Maurizio: Not really new, it has been pretty obvoius from the first drive that my GTV is set up 'loose' but this was quite a revelation still.
Actually bought springs before last season but as I never got it out of the garage I never got to test.
And Now everything is about to change. *dong* Turn page...

Good to see it in English !
With regards to your suspension set up on your car is it all rose jointed, polyurethane bushings, rubber bushings, nylon bushings, spherical bearings etc. Reason why I ask is you mentioned the car been bit loose or is that about your spring rates ?
Rose/sperical joints everywhere.
It can be loose due to a lot of reasons, or rather a combination of reasons like roll center height, spring rates, AR-bar rates, shocks and so on. Will be looked over.
A lot of this will be on the site once verified.
