A small update. Now less than two months from completion of the Callaway. Gregg Armstrong showed me how things are coming along and I also brought in a few new parts. I finally found a replacement NOOS hood pull trigger. Mine still worked however the attachment for the fuse box was broken. Apparently these are getting difficult to find as not only are there none I could locate on junked cars, but also this one went for $255 on Ebay…sheesh! The new HRE rims and tyres were delivered today and do they look the part. Very clean 17 inch, three piece polished beasts.
We also broke down all the costs and exactly what will be done by Gregg to complete the Callaway project. I did also inquire as to why he gold cladded pretty much everything, and his explanation is that they will outlive me before they go rotten. Sounds fine, but I don’t care for the colour much.

If any of the above seems pointless or silly please let me know as I still have time to instruct Gregg to make changes. I am not at all ashamed to admit that to a certain extent we are using what he did to restore Martin de Campo's excellent Callaway as a blueprint, plus/minus a few items for personal taste.
