Quick-Racks...? Why oh why....
If you were in the D1GP, or a really tight rally circuit i could see the need, but on a race track or street your asking for trouble.
Out of all the gtv6 race cars i've seen, none i know of have a quick rack lol.
But each to their own.

Selling 1985 GTV6.
Ecu and injectors, lightened.....plays music.
The 156/147 GTA has a 1.75 rutn lock/lock and I agree thats a bit too quick and my 1.9ish is too but what does a normal GTV have, something like 3.3? That's like driving a truck or a bus!
Check my track videos and the benefits of having a quick rack should be obvoius.

Thats right the 156/147 GTAs has very short between lock/lock but on the other hand they have 12,1 meters turning radius which evens it out a bit. A "regular" 156 has 11,1 meters to compare with.Mats wrote:The 156/147 GTA has a 1.75 rutn lock/lock and I agree thats a bit too quick and my 1.9ish is too but what does a normal GTV have, something like 3.3? Well I have bought and converted mine because some of my racing colleagues told me that it's a great upgrade for a 116 chassie.GarthW wrote:Quick-Racks...? Why oh why....
Since the GTV6 has a very long lock/lock (3,5 or 3,6 I think) I thought it was worth a try. I will get back with my experience of it when I have used it for a while.
I believe its whoever pilots their own car.
Ppl tell me its heavy but never to me.
Power steering should not come anywhere near a gtv6, my opinion
Each to their own, thanks.
Will be watching your vids soon Mats......
Oh, where are they...?

Well,
impressions of the quick steering rack on the road are excellent!!
I have to admit it took me a while to get used to it but the car now is razor-sharp as far as direction change is concerned, something which in turn requires added concentration especially on fast open bends.
Extra bonus is the added feeling of solidity in the steering without the constant trembling over uneven surface which used to get on my nerves!
Hats off again for Sweden and for Matfo in particular who transformed a very annoying aspect of fast GTV use!!!
