GregoryV,
I found that ordering parts you may want to get some from one place and some from another if time is a factor. Look for who has what you want in stock as backorders seem to never happen....at least i havent had any filled yet.

The old GTV6 turned a major milestone today as the odometer clicked over to 200,000 miles

Here it is on its 200K mile day, just recently brought the front end down, but want to raise it back up a 1/2-inch.
Of course it just developed a drive-line vibration a bit just last week, even though it was completely rebuilt and balanced earlier this year ... ugh!

GregoryV, dont rev it if there is a vibration. Check all couplings thoroughly for cracks or pieces missing Dont want to break bell housing etc.
Well done on 200000 miles

Thanks! 2nd and 3rd gear shifts to the top would have been nice
but as Kevin just suggested I've been babying it
Had it put up on the rack and checked out, with no problems found ... and the vibration has now disappeared, go figure.

It looks like after 200K miles and 27 years it is time to pull the gas tank
The v6 was intermittently cutting out on me 6 months back, replaced the fule filter, it was filled with orange/brown stuff and she ran perfect thereafter... until just yesterday, when I got a quick loss of power while cruising at speed. Nothing I like more than dealing with stinky gas!

Hope to pull the tank this next week, life has had me too busy to deal with it. Need to get the POR15 stuff too. GV

I've see a product used on motorcycles for years (have'nt used it myself) just for rusy gas tanks. Its called KREEM. The stuff does have a good reputation and is made just for gas tanks.

Yeah - I remember that... pretty close to the straw that broke the camels back I think! But, all stored away in my brain thanks to those that have gone there before me! GV

A nice spanking new set of injectors showed up from
http://www.hiperformancestore.com today
After 200,000 miles I decided it was probably time to replace the injectors before something happened!
The current engine has about 15K on it and when rebuilt the injectors were the one thing I didn't change out.
Can't wait to get these in, but first I have to get the darn gas tank back in. GV

A good day of getting something done on the v6
yanked the old injectors, put in the new and replaced the fuel regulator while I was at it. We'll see how it runs tomorrow...
