Been around on the old board forever, so I thought I'd finally get around to posting here.
My name is Chip and I'm 23 years old. I live in San Diego, CA USA. I've been infected with the Alfa virus since 1998 when I bought my first Milano, a 1989 2.5L Gold edition. This car was slowly upgraded and then a couple years later converted into full-on racer. It's the black car in the pics below. Foolishly I took the car apart for parts when I became unemployed in 2003 and then I ended up stealing more parts when I built my new Milano street/track combo car.
My daily driver is a '87 Milano that also started out as a 2.5L Gold edition. I took the car apart almost completely and replaced EVERYTHING.
The engine is a VERY low mileage 3.0L 24 valve 164Q motor plus a Motronic chip from Squadra Tuning. The transaxle is a 4.10 with LSD from a Platinum edition Milano that has been rebuilt, gears lightened and LSD modified. Suspension is made up from 27.3mm torsion bars, 143 lb/in rear springs, Koni Sport shocks, and poly bushings EVERYWHERE. The rear brakes use the SZ vented rotors, and the fronts are Porsche 944 turbo calipers and 310mm rotors. Lots of other stuff done to the car... leather sport seats, etc, etc. The last thing left to do is bodywork and paint. I have a 75 Veloce bodykit to put on the car (pretty much the same as the EVO kit) and the car will eventually be a dark red/maroon color. Please excuse how UGLY the car is in the pictures... it's part silver, part primer and a couple other colors at the moment.
Here are the pictures... you can see more pics of my cars and read all about them at my website: http://www.fastalfas.com
