Hi Guys,

let me introduce myself, I'm Adam from Hungary.
I graduated as an agricultural mechanical engineer with a faculty of environmental technology. Now working for a research institute as a researcher I'm dealing with environmental topics, such as environmentally friendly animal husbandry, composting, biogas production and other renewable energies.

Transaxle Alfas are my hobby, I really love them! I own Alfas since 1997, I started with a 33. Since then I had several models, but now the "collection" looks like following:

- 1983 GTV6; Grigio Metallico Nube; good condition with 101k kms. Fully stock, except the lowered front (84mms from the ground), ANSA rear muffler and Zender 8x16 alloys with ET17 (!), and 205/45 16 Uniroyal Rainsport1 tyres. Want to keep it in this condition, no modification is planned.

- 1984 Alfetta Quadrifoglio Oro; 'The Zorro'; Grigio Metallico Nube. This is the winter car in fairly good condition with 206kms. Mechanically almost perfect, only the body is acceptable. Sometimes it maybe going to be restored, but now it a daily driver workhorse.

- 1979 Alfasud 1.3 Super; 'The Little Red'; Alfa Rosso (it was sometimes) :) For a real bargain I bought it for my wife, and planned to start restoring in 2004. Since it's in really poor condition restoring was delayed, and only some spareparts were buought yet.

- 1982 Alfetta 2.0L, 'The Brown'. Bought it with my friend as a part of an Alfetta collection.165kms, excellent engine, transmisson, and suspension, planned to be a project car for weekend races. We own is since las October, so no modification has started yet.

The Zorro.

As an addition, why is it 'Zorro'? We have the term in hungarian for english 'the' 'az'. If you say 'The Oro' in hungarian it sounds like 'The Zorro'. Maybe it is funny just for me.

Mr Brown. Bad quality photo taken at night during tyre heating. Anyway there is not much more to see on this car. Maybe later.

Now that GTV looks fantastic! :D

Lower it about 10mm in the back and it would be Perfect...
Like in the side-shot when you are accelerating, looks very good.

Thanks Mats!

Imagine, these are already lowering springs!
I've tried a pair of stiffer springs last year for a while, but they lifted the back to original height. That was weird.

I was thinking of lifting a front a litte instead and fill the wheelarches with /50 tyres, but I sticked to /45. (Way too small maybe, but benefits acceleration  )

The only thing that retards me in lowering is road condition. Extremely poor by us, and with a 84mm ground clearance it's a nightmare to drive out of the highway. But I will consider your advice.

enzo, your rims look great.
Did you made them polished?

The color of the spokes is a matter of chance. I bought them for my previous red GTV, and it was just a luck that this car has the same color. 'Luck' say I now, because I have to confess, that I didn't like the colored center for a long time. (It looked like KITT, from the series Knight Rider. ) I preferred the shiny ones that you own. But now I got used to it after I made them polished.

65 mms?? Thats HOT. :)

If I had a ground clearance like yours, I wouldn't be able to drive my car. :(

You need to know which areas to stay clear of but other then that it's fine, the stiff suspension makes it easier. ;)
