Hi. I'm Ahmed from South Africa. I've owned a few Alfa's before and currently own 2 original GTV6 3 litres , 1 1985 GTV 2.0 litre, 1 1985 Giulietta 2 litre and a GTV6 2.5 and GTV 2.0 not in good condition. I also have a fibreglass model of an ALFA 8C.

Very nice! Those 3.0 hoods you guys have over there are just killer! I wonder what it would cost to ship one to the US - are they something a wrecker would have or is it a rare item??

These hoods are extremely rare. Zero chance of finding one. Sorry to break the news.

Ahmed,

I noticed that you car has colour coded bumpers and spoiler. However the air intakes and air vents remain grey. It's not possible to tell from the photo if they have been painted grey or left original.

My point (and tip) is this. Strong UV light seems to break these plastics down over time causing them to become ugly. The simplest way to protect you investment is to paint the plastics with a colour of your choice as soon as possible.

This in effect becomes a sacrificial coating that will save your plastic car parts in the future. One day these parts will be more scarce than Rockin Horse Shit.
