drop spindles??
It's easy to do if you have access to the right equipment.
What did you use to weld them?

Welded with pre-heat, a MIG and post-heat as per AS1554.4. Part 4:Welding of High Strength Q&T steels
Then reinforced full length down each side with 6mm plate (also with pre & post heat) and smothed to remove all stress raisers.

Do you notice much of an improvement with the your drop spindle mods? Would you be interested in modifying a set for anyone else (road use)?
Love the custom stuff. Very innovative 8) .

Before he replies, I can vouch that they do make a difference, in a positive way

It's not earth shattering, but it was worth the effort for me (I just installed them, didn't make them!).

If you haven't seen this already, interesting discussion here:

Daniel, sorry to be a bother, but I need a reply on those adapters. I'm running a bit short on time now..

But if you can't do it, no hard feelings, I saw it as a favor anyways, you're a nice guy!

Long weekend meant a little more progress!
Bumpers on, radiator in, oil cooler mounted.

Nice radiator. What does that front bumper come off. looks mean enough to intimidate the flying brick.

Looks like a slightly modified Evo front bar from the 75.

Looks good though!

Yeah, with the ribs in the openings cut away.

Yep, it is a modified 75 Evo replica - nice and light.
Also correct - it is a Serpent one from Mark Pap.

Kevin, I hope to do more than intimidate the flying brick. The plan is to give Mike one look at the front bar in his rear view, then only give him a diminishing view of the rear bar and tail pipes for the rest of the day  (If I ever get it finished - right Mike  )

Dont count me out either. I am definately heading your way. Dont want to discuss it here on this thread but what are the regs for this category so i can see if its worth bringing two cars over.
Cheers

Oooh, sounds interesting!

Depends what you're looking at and who is running it. The Alfa Club has Road, Modified and Race categories (Race being the most common with more than 5 modifications), Sprints simply has Registered or Race (Unregistered), Super Sprints is similar to Sprints I believe, Top Gear is basically open Race - Then the categories are simply divided by engine size. If you get into CAMS events, then you come into categories that are specifically dictated by what's been done and probably more what you're used to.

Thats great now I must check with your authorities how I can get the car in. Its fully road legal as you have seen as i would still like to drive it to tracks. I will move this to other.
