Marc,

That airbox looks familiar, who supplied it?

Hi marc, good luck , my 3.7 is still as strong as ever using ''zero'' oil. Both our engines have same parts with sub assembly done by same guys. Had to limit my rpm though( down to 5500 now) to save gearboxes. 192kw on wheels up here.

Wauw, just stumbled upon this thread... Very VERY nice pair of cars!

By this my GTV looks a mere trifle... I live close to the border, maybe I 'll pop by ;)

Great find, keep them running!

Nice! 300pk at the wheels is about an F355, and more than the E46 M3. What compression ratio does your engine have?

Even at the crank, that's a lot. Plus, look how flat the torque curve is, this car should really move.

The lame US Spec M3? Euro is 343Hp (crank).

US spec E46 M3 is 333 bhp, due to headers and other smaller differences. 10 bhp difference, not too lame I think.

Originally I thought it was 300 @ the wheels. M3s only have 270-280 at the wheels. F355s have around 280-300 at the wheels depending on dyno yada yada.

new update:
i've been driving for 5000 km's now and the engine runs fine and very powerful!!
we sorted out some oil leaks and the software was reprogrammed at low rpm.
the car is almost smoothly running like a standard car.
i've had it dynoed again somewhere else where we got 350 hp crank.
no oil consumation anymore!!
now yesterday the clutch failed.
i used a disk from performatek which has one sintered- and one normal side.
pressure plate was new original...
what can be the cause that the plate is worn after 5000 km??the pressure plate too soft and what can i do about it??? :wall:

Hey Marc, possible problem is the pressure plate is to soft in tension . I had to take my new pressure plates and retention them by another 60N. This was on my pull clutch.(double clutch) Got to use an absolute expert to do this to make sure that clutch fingers are all perfectly level when done and the rivets slide properly .
Soft pressure plate with big power will chow your clutch.
That's just my opinion from last racing season.
The joys of big power take it's toll.

hi Kevin!
i never felt the clutch slipping at all!
i probably need a diffrent pressureplate instead of modiefying mine?
but where to buy an stronger new one, performatek offers modified ones...
i am not willing to pay freight and customs when i can have it done over here.
first i will have to take it apart...
thanks for the advice :D

Hello Marc,

it was nice talking to you. And what a beautiful car... :P

The guys that compete in rallycross over here have often upgraded their pressure plates by putting extra 'fingers' in. That will give you more clamping force but unfortunately also a heavier clutchpedal.
