Yes hopefully will be there for the race . I took this pic anticipating some sort of supercar was coming up the road after hearing the sound . I'm not sure which one of the two I would choose :D

Ha ha don't say that . My next move in five years time is Australia - if they allow me in ( again) . Right now my second GTV has just arrived in UK ( just docked in at Felixstowe ) I really hope it had a safe voyage in its container and its not in pieces like a DTM 155 a friend once imported to SA . Nothing was salvageable on the car is it came loose somewhere shortly after it left EU .
It looks like the GTV bug is really in full swing in uk with a whole bunch of GTV 3.5 12 v running around and lots others been restored so I hope to join up with all the guys in the upcoming trackdays that have been organised .
Must just win the lotto pay to for all this :D
I see chris snowdon has entered his replica GTV 2.5 touring car that just been assembled in the Apilatte colours for the Goodwood event in two weeks . The camera will be out of course .
Other good news is their is another replica Luigi GTV been assembled ( yellow and black) so maybe these cars are really starting to be appreciated . .. Finally .

Man - I'd stay in the UK, weather might be shit, but so close to the rest of europe, more (and better) tracks... There's 3 tracks in QLD - ones a boring as shit paperclip, the other a track that you don't push 100% if you want to keep your car - the third is a 2 1/2 hour drive...
That and the modified car rules here are so fuckign restrictive (Better than Belgium I guess, but who the fuck wants to live there?). I guess this is part of why i'm keeping my GTV stock looking inside and out...
NZ would be nice though.

Hear hear Ben. I live in California, and the emission rule is dumb. How can there be kit cars which smell like shat totally 100% rich carb. Pisses me off. I can make my 75 pass the emission dyno test but I will still fail the visual test because of my CSC headers.

And I f ing love Cornwall. I'm thinking retiring in the UK. Though UK weather is shat. And it's not cheap there innit?! Gas prices sucks.

But think about Spa, the ring, JK's house, all just round the corner. And having festivals like Goodwood, historic toruing car at silverstone, 24hour VLN, Le Mans, EU Alfa Challenge, etc it will drive us just mad!!!!

But here it's expensive as shat too. Medical cost is exorbitant.

Btw I ate lunch on Oxford street, it's the same price as what i get here. That's what you get for living close to Google and Facebook.

Anyway enough rant, I LOVE this place. Awesome weather!!! Probably comparable to Melbourne or Sydney, but the medical cost and car rules pisses me off. So i took my 75 off the road, modified it to hell, bought a V8 land cruiser and a car tariler. Don't ever want to deal with tests anymore.

Oh yes, we have Laguna Seca, but even a stock F355 will be kicked out of the track due to noise restriction. Not much of a track anymore then.

F it lets live in Greece and not pay taxes!

Yeah, you and 3/4 of the f. Greeks! Weather isn't bad compared to Germany or UK but this f. place is the shits, if you're used to living abroad. Unchecked tax evasion, skyrocketing illegal immigrant crimes (~3 mill. of them assholes, 95% of a certain Asian/Arab religion), medical care getting worse by the day, almost everyone in the gov't gets bribed, 28% unemployment and rising, you can't get ANY job unless you know someone... The place is only good for summer vacations for people with money or lucky pensioners with a half-decent income -like me  . We only got one track to speak of, 370miles from here -we have the annual Alfa meet for 3 days next weekend. The other track near Athens is crap, 2300meters. Since we ain't got any decent place to test our machines, we go all out on certain roads... Dangerous but necessary. Yesterday I was going 180kph in a six-lane 3km long city highway at 26psi. Its an upgrade, so great for afr/ignition testing. This car shit won't last too long, I'm 62 now and I figure when I grow up  I'll stop f. around with cars....
You all talk as if you'll be playing with cars forever...Ain't gonna happen. There will come a time where it'll take you 30 seconds to get in and out of your car and then... you won't want the Alfa any more -if its not a pile of rust already by then... Oh yes, that time will come, sooner or later. So, don't make plans based on where the good tracks or the best steaks are... Live your life as best you can, cars are only a very small fraction of it!

Probably for cheap racing and loads of it in the finest weather best place is SA but then you gotta be on guard 24/7
But if you make a half decent living , downgrade your housing then uk rules . So many tracks and great Alfa GTV enthusiasm . Also got a real good specialist here at Alex Jupe who gets a serious bunch of these back on the roads .
I have just cleared my race car through customs but I don't think I will be touching that for a while as I have just herniated a disc in lower back so I am gonna be a vegetable for a few months . I will post pics when it arrives at my doorstep .

like everywhere in the world... there are pro and cons... Great weather, a couple of reasonable tracks... incl kyalami... regs to keep car on the road are rather "loose", so its ok.... BUT... yes crime is an issue...

Yep , I have taken the powermods ecu out already . That's just incase some one thinks its an amp .
I have put all my speedline 15" rims in the loft but I must get lock nuts for the new 17" compomotives that are currently on the car . Speaking of that actually want to sell or swop the 17" for a set of 16" compomotives or similar.
