Well finally got my MOT for my GTV . This is of course with help of proper professional GTV restorer Alex Jupe . He quickly pointed out I needed right fog light and windsreen washer sprayers to be resurrected . I have never used this car in the rain and its not on a SA roadworthy schedule so it was an emergency clean and nozzle readjustment . After that passed with flying colours .
Some pics of my entire workshop that just arrived and my tools plus my garage ( outdoor on paving). well sadly all my tools consist of a socket set and leatherman . Garage is outside but hey I do have spare carbs , new heads , clutch and other goodies .

Yesterday was Brooklands AutoItalia day . The weather forecast with initially sunny then it changed to slight showers . That proved to be true as I came home sunburnt and had my winter rain jacket on for half the day . Think the rain washed my sunblock off . Their was a huge Alfa turnout with the cars parking in their respective classes . The GTA section ( 156 ,147) is always the best to hang around with the barbie(braai) continuously running and coffe flowing under Stevens organisation . Think their were 18 gta 's at one stage . Probably about 200 Alfas in total . Very impressive and frighteningly strong was a 159 q4 supercharged which did the Brooklands uphill climb faster than most Ferraris apart from the one 360 that failed to stop at the top and launched 20 ft onto its nose .
I will post some pics of the day from early set up before all the cars started arriving .

And now for some proper cars. The GTV below (JPB reg was UK 2.5 with a SA 3.0 Bonnet . it does Have a full rs kit and a 75 3.0 motor in .) The rims on it are my first choice or a wheel for a GTV . The owner says they don't make them anymore since 1990 .

Their were two SA GTV 3.0 at the show . Mine and Julian's . julians was the ex Alex Jupe GTV 3.0 (AJM plates) which he owned many years ago . This GTV formed part of the Alex Jupe GTV display alongside the SS and their will be a feature on these three GTV in AutoItalia June issue . The sound of Alex's personal GTV is so crisp with that 3.5 12v motor in it .This is the closest one in pic 2 with gtv6 written on side .
