Hello Alfa fans.
My name is Martin and I've been interested in Alfa Romeo since I was a boy and our neighbor bought an used 33 TD. We never had enough money to buy one however always sticked with an Italian car - 127, UNO, Stilo, etc. When the 156 was first introduced I just went to University and that time was not even dreaming one day I could buy one.
Anyway after some years I got a bit more fortunate and am currently a proud owner of a 156 GTA (Bought it as used in Slovenia.), 145 QV (Bought it for my wife in Czech. Will never do the same mistake again.) and a 159 2.0 JTDm TI ("My" first car from new ever.) which is still a company car but planning to buy it out after the leasing is over.
I know what you think now. If I did not misunderstand what is this forum about and whether it would not be better to join rather an AR user group on LinkedIn. Have to say that I really admire the amount of knowledge and experience most of the members have here. Just hope I will be able to contribute one day as well. I'm not a mechanic nor a racing driver. However I really love to work out and learn many things on my own whether it comes to repairing or modifying my beloved Alfas.
The older I get the more I appreciate the look, simplicity and the engineering geniality of old cars. My dream is to own one day a GTV6, Giulia / Giulia Sprint, 164, Alfetta. However currently I'm really lusting a GTV6 or Giulia TS although financial situation and garage space does not cope with my insanity.
Whatever the future might be I was really enjoying reading all kind of threads and posts here on the forum as a guest and hopefully I will be able to try out at least some of them on my own when the time comes. Looking forward to learn even more as a member now.
